"Ugh," Percy groaned, his head half in the toilet. He'd been throwing up all morning. Sky was complaining about light in the room, even though it was completely dark until the door was thrown open and she screeched, diving under the covers.
"Greetings, idiots. I bring tylenol and water," Amelia said, putting both of those things on the bedside table.
"Have fun with your hangovers," she grinned, slamming the door shut as loud as she could.
"It still doesn't look right," Amelia groaned, throwing herself back onto the couch. Sky laughed and waiting for her to get back up and work again when Percy burst into the apartment.
"It's this one!" he yelled. James trailed behind, looking bored.
"What's what one?" Sky asked, sipping her tea.
Please don't be the dress. Please don't be the dress.
"The dress it's perfect!" he exclaimed. Sky shrugged.
"It's not terrible. I wore almost the same dress in different colors to homecoming in ninth grade."
"Dammit... and I missed that? Dammit!" He fell next to Amelia exasperated.
"When did we become the sane ones?" James inquired.
"No idea," Sky sighed, running a hand through her hair.
"Also our invites came in the wrong color," Amelia pouted.
"One shade off. Just one, calm down."
"No, this is me calm," she said, glaring at the almost two hundred neatly folded envelopes and invitations on the table.
"Well you're not getting new ones," James said.
"Hey," she exclaimed, glaring at James.
"I already addressed all of them and Percy did like all of the work, so no." Sky looked up in fear just as Amelia stood up. Even though she was almost a foot shorter than James, she was way more intimidating.
"You better keep that mouth of yours shut till after the wedding, pretty boy," she hissed, storming back to her room. Sky bit her lip laughing and James grimaced before going to fix what he'd said.
"Please don't be like that when our wedding happens," Percy said worriedly.
"Don't worry I promised Amelia could plan it like a million years ago," she answered, "Also, our wedding?"
"Uh...." Something crashed in the other room and Sky forgot about the conversation they had till later. Just as soon as she opened Amelia's bedroom door she shut it cringing.
"I'm scarred for life!" Sky shrieked, running backwards and tripping into Percy. He laughed and caught her, pulling her into his arms. She nodded with a shiver and buried her head in his chest. He looped his arms around to the small of her back and she let out a sigh. Something else crashed and Sky yelled, "If you break anything that's mine I'll make you pay for it!" Percy smiled and replied thoughtfully.
"I knew there was a reason I liked you."
"Coffee?" she asked. He nodded, grabbing their coats and then walking out the door. They were gone for a like twenty minutes, but when they got back Sky could tell the couple of them left in a hurry, presumably sucking each others faces off. The mental image gave her the creeps and Percy and Sky went back to their game of monopoly that she was winning.
The next few months went by quickly after that with work and planning the wedding. Percy was almost never home, but neither was Sky so they met up in the lobby of their building for the five minutes they saw each other. The wedding was finalized in place two months before the actual date and everything was sorted out. Percy had finally picked the bridesmaids dresses and SCREW HIM.
