Part 11

"Taylor, wake up honey, we have to leave", Aiden petted my head.
"What time is it?"
"It's 6:30, if we want to go to work we have go leave now."
"Can we just ditch work for a day?"
"Get up Taylor."

We walked to the car and drove back to Diamond Place. If we want to be there on time, we can't go home first.

"Thank you for the night", I smiled.
He smiled back. Why is he lying? Close friends? But anyways, I have to meet Bailey and show her the picture. I couldn't call Bailey while Aiden is beside me, so I texted Rosie and told her to tell Bailey we'll be at this weird place by 5pm.

After 45 minutes of driving, he parked the car and jumped out of it. Then we both headed to the elevator. I want 5pm to come so fast.

"So how's your mother now?", I asked
"She's better. Not fine, but better."
Well.
The elevator dinged to our floor. I headed directly to my desk. I have so much work to do.

"Are you coming to this reunion on Christmas Eve?", he asked.
"Sure! Can't wait to meet everyone again! Is Linda coming?"
"I don't think so. She said she won't let me go if she didn't go too. I don't know what changed her mind. At least I'm going without her now!", he laughed.
"Do you love her?"
"No, Taylor. I don't. I think I never did", he pursed his lips.
I smiled. Yay..

Why is the room so empty? Where's everyone? It's almost Aiden and I only. Weird.

I was focusing so much on the review I'm writing I can almost hear nothing. But I can hear someone's breath shaking. Could it be Aiden? I stood up and looked over to his desk. It is Aiden.

"Aiden!", I screamed. He was lying on the floor holding his knee tight. He was shaking. He was crying silently. His face was read. And I just stood there and did nothing. I was frozen.

After a couple of seconds I realized my situation and ran over to Aiden. What's happening! I've never seen anyone like that.
"Oh my gosh! Do I call 911?! What do I do?! Oh my god!", I panicked, but Aiden said nothing. I called 911 quickly.
"What's wrong! Please just explain to me.."
He said nothing. I can see pain in his eyes. I pulled him closer to me. I couldn't take it anymore that I broke down in tears.
Finally the ambulance was here and took him. I can't just stay here and wait. I went with him. This is just so painful to watch..

I've been waiting here for so long. I just want to see him already. What is happening in there for God's sake!!
It was almost 3pm and no sight for the doctor!
"Excuse me, are you by any means related to Aiden?"
"Yes! Oh my god please tell me something that won't make me sad for the rest of my life!"
"Don't worry dear, it's not strange. Anyone with stage III cancer can get such symptoms."
What. STAGE III CANCER! I stood 5 seconds still, until I fell unconscious.

I only woke up to find myself in a room, probably in the hospital, lying on the bed. I looked around to see a nurse sitting and writing something.
"Welcome back", she smiled.
"What happened!"
"Calm down. Your blood pressure is so low. You need some rest."
"Where's Aiden?", as if she knows who is Aiden.
"Who's Aiden?"
"Never mind. Can I leave now?"
"I'm afraid you can't", she pursed her lips.
"Please, I have to see someone. I won't leave the hospital I promise."
"Don't be late. And stay calm."

I walked out of my room quickly and ran to Aiden's room. Stage III cancer? That's what he has been hiding for this long? His mom is dead. He's the one who has stage III cancer.. That's why he ran away from the house.. That's why he traveled to London.. That's why he disappeared.. This can't be happening..

I opened the door to his room. He's sleeping. I saw the doctor standing beside his bed.
"Please explain to me."
"I assume you have no idea about his cancer?"
I shook my head.
"Mr Robinson has stage III bone cancer. Actually, it's at the highest level of stage II. In a short period of time. A very short one, Mr Robinson's cancer will rise up to stage III. Such symptoms can occur if he doesn't take the drug as soon as he felt pain in his bones. Mainly it's present in his knees."
"What can I do? Please, I can't just do nothing.."
"He needs a miracle, it can't just happen. I'm afraid you can't help. Technically, there's no cure."
"Thank you, Doctor.."
"He had to take some drugs, he was in so much pain. He'll be fine. Just give him some time."
The doctor went out of the room leaving me alone with Aiden asleep.
He looks so cute when he's asleep. I can't imagine my life without him. This can't be happening. I can't lose him.
"It's okay, everything will be alright", I smiled and held his hand. I felt his hand tightening my hand. He can feel it.
I sat beside him for what seemed like hours, just wildly staring at him breathing. After a long time, I fell asleep too, with my head resting on his arm.

I woke up to something beeping. This can't be it.
I called the doctor quickly.
"What's happening?!"
The doctor went towards the heart rate monitor and clicked some buttons.
"What's happening!!", I cried.
"His heartbeat rate is rising."
I weant slowly towards his bed.
"Please, please don't leave me alone, my life would be a mess without you.. Just come back and I'll never bother you again. I'm sorry for never telling you how much I love you. I'm sorry for treating you bad all these years, but don't leave me.."
