the next day when i visited the hospital, jaehyun wasn't there.
i panicked and ran to the nurse at the front desk.

"where's jaehyun?" i questioned frantically.

"jaehyun's condtition had worsened and he had to be moved to the emergency care unit," the nurse informed me with sad eyes.

"well, can i see him? which room number is he in?" i asked again, this time becoming even more anxious.

"right now it's just for families to visit i-"

"jaehyun is the closest thing i've got to family. please," i begged the nurse, cutting her off.

"i'm really sorry, mr yoongi. but i'm afraid there's not much i can do." the nurse replied in an apologetic tone.

i walked away from the desk, defeated.

i'm not going to give up yet though. i'm determined to see jaehyun. even if it meant waiting for a long long time. so that's what i did. i placed myself outside the nurse's car and sat there for hours. waiting for her to get off from work. i waited for what felt like an eternity when i finally heard soft clicks of heels against the pavement. i looked up and saw her there.

"how long have you been wai-"

"i need to see jaehyun. please." i begged her.
