Kim in MM 😊
" x equals to what, Ms. Steely?" My Algebra 2 teacher Ms. McKinney asked. The whole class turned to look at me. Its like they all know I'm bad at math.
"Uh, two?" I said unsure of myself.
"Correct." She said as she wrote on the board.
"Lucky guess." I mouthed to my friend Emily. She giggled and continued her work. I looked at the clock on the wall checking for the time. "Pay attention, Ms.Steely." Ms.McKinney hissed. I rolled my eyes. "Don't roll your eyes doesn't look good on you." She frowned and turned her back towards the class and continued writing on the board. "What is natural log?" Ms.McKinney waited for an answer. Now, this I know the answer to. I was about to raise my hand, but the bell rang. "Okay class, your homework is to do objectives fifty-four and fifty-five. You all get zeros if it's not turned in by Monday. Dismissed."
I exit out the class of course Emily by my side.
Em, I like to call her, has been my friend for years. She's like my sister, since I'm the only child in my household. She has been one of the few people in my life who cares about me, besides my mom and I appreciate that. We walked towards the benches by the front gate of the school. Our favorite place to hang out. No one was ever at this spot which made it peaceful and quiet.
"I don't think Kenya is messy for trying to get Cynthia and Porsha together, but at the same time its almost like she's leading the group or at least trying." She said as she went on and on about the last episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta. Now, I love this show too. Don't get me wrong, but the only thing we talked about when It came to catty drama was this show because we had nothing dramatic going on in our lives which I always taught was a good thing.
"No, no, no. Kenya is being messy. Please tell me who Kenya is in this situation." I paused and waited for an answer. "The peace maker." "Wrong the instigator." I corrected her. She gave me a weird look. "But don't you think- Oh my God! Look, look!" She tugged at my shirt. "It's Brian. Your boyfriend!" I shushed her. "Emily quiet down. He might hear." I whispered. "Oh come on, you know you love him." I looked at him and I slipped into one of my many day dreams until my thoughts were interrupted by hysterical laughter. I snapped out of my daydream and turned around and faced Emily and Jack, who I didn't even realize joined us "Shut up." I tried to keep a straight face, but just ended up laughing with them. "Girl, thats the love of your life." Emily said.
"Yeah, you guys would look cute together." Jack teased along with Emily.
"Imma call him over here." Jack said. "Bri-"
Emily put her hand over his mouth. "Don't."
Brians POV:
"That kickback was lit last night. I probably got three different girls phone numbers." I said laughing. My friend Kahlil gave me a stern look. "Don't you have a girlfriend? I ran my hands over my face. "I broke up with her." "When?" "Last night." Kahlil along with the rest of the group sucked their teeth. "Dog." Wardell yelled. Causing the whole group to holler and laugh.
"Y'all had dog moments too. Don't judge me."
"Yeah, like him over here" Wardell pointed at Khalil. "Who stay two timing these females."
