Emilia and the rest of the new trainee's summoned their weapons and jumped out the vehicle. They ran for the North wall. As she ran arrows whizzed past her. She kept her head down but eyes front and just ran as fast as her slender legs would carry her. She tripped on a corpse and she tumbled into the floor. There were arrows hitting all around her as she crawled towards an upturned cart. "Good to have you here Emi." Said a gruff voice from above her. She looked up at being behind the voice. "Am I dead?"she inquired.

"No." As she saw the mysterious figure a bit more carefully she realized who it was. And threw herself on him, arms out wide, and embraced him. Tears flowing down her freckled cheeks. "Good to see you too." Emilia's brother Eric chuckled with a grunt as she rammed into his chest. He had run away from his home many years back. He had been an outcast in their family and everyone treated him like shit, they said he was weak, useless and unfit to be called an Einheart. "The worst man to have ever have been born out of the womb of a female of the Einheart family," they would say behind his back. He had very limited magic but what he lacked in magic he more than made up for in courage and summoned weapons skills.

Emilia looked up into his deep blue eyes and her eyes welled up again. She adored her brother, almost to a creepy point. "Come on, stop crying," he whispered to her, "it's all going to be alright now, we've been training for this for a while."

"Really?..." She said sarcastically.

"YES!" he exclaimed, insulted,"if you don't believe me then watch."

They peer over the the wheel of the cart and catch sight of the many armed, coordinated enemies. A sense of fear gripped their hearts. The Vagroths were tremendous warriors who were highly effective in close quarters, summon weapon, combat. They suddenly realized that they were exposing themselves unnecessarily and quickly ducked their heads back down. The Vagroths were slowly and systematically moved up. The ones with ranged weapons provided cover fire for the melee ones who ran up and slaughtered the soldiers.

As they sat there pondering what they could possibly do their allies were being massacred. "RIDERS OF BLÜDHAVEN TO ME!" Roared a loud, commanding voice filled with authority. Emilia looked behind her and saw a man on a horse with a blade in the air charging down the hill towards the Vagroths. "Shadow Dancer to me." Said Eric as a portal into darkness opened and a pitch-black mare stepped out, "You called?..." Said the dark horse.

"Let's ride," Said Eric as he threw him onto the steed. He plunged his hand forward into a portal, then drew it back. In his grasp was now a broadsword with a cross-guard that shimmered in the dazzling sunlight, the blade was as dark as the mount. With a roar they rode off toward the enemy. For a minute or so Emi just sat there while the thunder of hooves went past her, examining in her mind what she just saw. Emilia was left there not knowing what to do. Past the cart the bombardment of arrows and bolts has ceased and is replaced with the clash of steel and the cries of people and horses alike. "I got to do something at least." Thought Emilia as she leaped over the barrier.
