As the shimmering blood red light cusped over the edges of the horizon the lone guard stood at attention, watching the glorious morning sun rise over the hills on the morning dew. Ever vigilant, ever wary. There was never anything happening at Blüdhaven besides the occasional birthday or funeral. It was a quaint citadel, nestled deep in the mountain of Kragnor. It was not a center of commerce but it was more of an army training facility and a sort of headquarters. Every few months there would be a new shipment of trainees coming in and a group of newly graduated soldiers going out.

On one particular day that a shipment of new trainees were coming in there was an explosion at the South gate. Bodies were strewn all over the street. From the smoke entered the Vagroths. They were a fierce people who lived for the battle and had spent the last couple of decades trying to take over Blüdhaven. They had never even succeeded in breaching the walls. Today however they were more coordinated than usual. The Vagroths had always attacked randomly and in small parties. Always loudly and getting picked off quickly enough, before they could do any real damage. Today however was different, they waited in the forest waiting for the guards to make the rotations and at that point the struck each with an arrow. They then moved quickly to the gate and placed an explosive charge on the gate. They stormed the citadel. Making their way quickly through the first level, murdering and killing quickly and efficiently. It was almost like they were a different people.

Emilia was on the transport moving through the citadel's East gate, and she was giddy as a school girl and excited to boot. Her first day as a cadet was about to begin. Or so she thought. There was a huge explosion coming from far away sending a gigantic shock wave that hit the vehicle. The driver barked out orders "GET OUT. GRAB A WEAPON AND HEAD FOR COVER." At that moment the back door swung open.
