~Chapter 03

I lay on the warm sand and looked up at the sky. I was going on tour with One Direction. With my best friends. Could things get any better? The clouds started to move and I decided to look for shapes.

"Hey look it's a heart." Lydia said, laying down next to me. "What's up Addi? You've been quiet all afternoon." I looked at her.

"Lydia. We've just been told we're going on tour with One Direction. How do you expect me to react?"

She looked at me, thinking for a moment. "Good point." We lay there for a while just staring up at the clouds.

"Hey! Addi! Lydia! Get your asses over here!" Naomi called. I sat up to see Naomi and Alexa in the sea, splashing each other. Me and Lydia laughed and got up, running over to them.

"Ahh!" Alexa exclaimed as I splashed water at her.

"You girls look like your having fun." Someone said. I looked up to see two boys walking towards us.

"Hey. I don't believe we've really introduced. But you probably know who we are."

"I guess you know us then?" Naomi said.

"Yeah. Well, I'm Louis."

"And I'm Liam."

After all the introductions and the gazing and smiling we left the water and made our way up the beach. We sat on the warm sand, me sitting on the end, next to Alexa with Naomi and Lydia in the middle and Louis and Liam on the end. We chatted for a while, mostly about the tour but about other things too, trying to get to know each other. Louis was dead set on finding out how we we're going to write a song together. You see, when we we're at Karen's café, Anya told us we had to write songs together, to preform them at concerts.

"So how are we gonna do it?" Louis asked.

"First we need to find out a bit about each other so we have some idea who we're working with and maybe what to write about?" Lydia asked. Smart.

Everyone nodded in agreement. I needed to say something, but I guess I was still shocked over the news even though it was about two hours ago. I just felt suddenly awkward around them.

Alexa nudged me, bringing me out of my thoughts.

"Huh?" I asked, as they'd clearly asked me something.

"Louis asked you what your full name is, what age you we're and what your favourite colour is." Lydia explained.

"Perv." Liam muttered, causing us all to laugh.

"Um, my name is Addison Anna Ayres, but everyone calls me Addi, I'm 18 and my favourite colour is purple."

After that I tried to stay focused. Focused on the questions Louis was asking, focused on the answers and the people answering them, but it was hard. I couldn't get used to the fact we are going on tour with One Direction. Will I ever get used to it? Ever since I found out I haven't said anything. Not in front of them anyway. I had barely said anything at the café, and now this? What is going on?

Come on Addi, concentrate.  My inner voice said.

"-Bye girls," Louis was saying, "nice meeting you." Wait they're leaving? So soon? Wow, I barely heard them say anything. Maybe because you weren't listening? I asked myself.
