~Chapter 18
Addi's P.O.V:
"Addi, sitting there with your head in your hands is not gonna help." Liam snapped.
I looked up. "Well who pissed in your cheerios?"
I don't even know what started this fight. One minute we were fine the next we were biting the heads off of each other like wild dogs.
Liam sighed, "I'm not trying to control you or anything, I'm just mad."
"Aren't we all." I muttered.
"Addi, stop being so bitchy!" Liam exclaimed, throwing his arms up in the air.
"I'm not being fucking bitchy, you're just being a moody cunt."
"Well at least my parents wanted me and didn't dump me in a care home." Liam remarked. His eyes went wide as if he had just realised what he'd said. I looked at him. Then jamp down from my bed and swung open the door to the bus. We weren't moving but the engine was starting up, ready for us. I heard Liam calling my name but I didn't care. I kept running, down alleys, around corners, far away from Liam.
When I got tired and couldn't go on, I slouched against a wall in an alley, and tried to control my breathing. Once I had caught my breath again, I pulled my phone out of my pocket and scrolled through my contacts. I found Jason among them and pressed 'call'. After a few rings Jason answered.
"Hey Jason, can you come get me?"
"Get you? Where are you?" Jason asked.
"I have no idea." I looked around the alley I was standing in. A dirty sign at the top of the alley read, 'Lovers Alley'. "Do you know where Lover's Alley is?"
"Is it next to Lover's Beach by any chance?" I could hear the smirk on the other end of the phone.
I walked along the alley to the end, sure enough, Lover's Beach was just a few feet away. "Yeah, can you meet me there?" After a confirmation that Jason would be there in a few minutes, I walked over to the beach and sat on the sand, waiting. I don't know why I called Jason. But we were in our hometown as we'd just finished performing a few hours ago, and Jason had been there for me since we'd met, I guess I just needed his humor to cheer me up.
I can't believe Liam would say that though. He knows I'm adopted and he knows I'm ashamed of it as my real birth mother didn't want me. Not a lot of people know I'm adopted. Just my closest friends and my family.
"Addi!"
I turned to see Jason walking towards me. I smiled. "Hey thanks for coming."
"Sure." We started walking along the beach towards the pier. The silence was awkward, but Jason soon broke it.
"Hey, thanks Addi."
"What for?" I frowned.
"For thinking of me. Instead of thinking of like, Alexa or Lydia. They are usually the ones that can give good advice. Honestly I'm not sure why you thought of me," he laughed.
"Cause I'm always with Alexa and Lydia. They give good advice, but you would cheer me up. Liam was being a dick today, I needed cheering up."
"So what was the fight about?" He asked.
I didn't really want to mention what Liam said. "A lot of things really. I think it's just like, stress or something because we're together the whole time, from the tour and stuff. I just had to get out of there. Y'know?" That was true.
"Yeah, I know." We walked in silence for a little longer before I decided to go back to the bus because it was getting cold.
"Alright, well I'm gonna go back to the bus now." I sighed.
"You gonna be alright?" Jason asked.
I smiled, "Yeah." Just then, Jason leaned over and put his lips to mine. I stood there frozen with shock. Why was he kissing me? Had I lead him on? Had I shown 'the signs' by accident? Then I thought of Liam. I registered what was happening and pushed him off me. "What the hell Jason?!"
"I'm so sorry." Jason muttered, "I don't know what came over me. Oh god. I'm sorry Addi." He took off down the pier and ran across the beach, leaving me standing on the pier, shock still running circuits through my body.
><
I climbed onto the bus and pushed open the door that led to our beds. Liam sat on his his head in his hands. He looked up when I came in. Dry tears stuck to his face, new ones forming in his bloodshot eyes. "Addi." He whispered. He jamp down from his bed and looked at me. "I'm so so sorry. I was mad and-"
"Liam." I interrupted. He looked at me, a stray tear fell from his eye and rolled down his cheek. "It's okay. I know you didn't mean it." He looked at me, tears still falling from his eyes, unsure on what to do. "Hey, don't cry." I walked towards him and wiped a tear from his face with my thumb. "It's okay." I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him. "I'm sorry," he repeated.
2 weeks later.
I sang quitely to myself as I walked around me and Liam's hotel room, picking up clothes and packing them into our suitcases. Management thought it was great that me and Liam we're together and Naomi and Harry were together, because they didn't have to book 9 seperate rooms, and only book 7, so me and Liam would share and Naomi and Harry would share. I didn't mind though, and Harry and Naomi didn't seem to mind either.
Liam had gone to get some breakfast bars for me since I practically live off them. I had something else on my mind though. The kiss. Jason had kissed me. The guy that was practically like a brother to me, had kissed me.
I'd just had a small fight with Liam, it was nothing. It wasn't like we were breaking up or anything. I didn't know if I should tell Liam or not. When I got back to the bus, he was there all apologetic, and I felt so bad. I hadn't immediately pushed Jason off me, but I hadn't kissed him back either. I went to him because he was a friend, and I knew he could cheer me up. Otherwise I'd have gone to Lydia or Alexa. Ever since that night I can't get the kiss out of my head. It was haunting me. I had to tell Liam. It was the right thing to do. Right?
Just then, Liam came back with my breakfast bars. "Hey," he said.
"Hey, oh my god, thanks, you're a lifesaver." I replied, taking a box filled with breakfast bars and ripping open one of the packets. I took a bite then quickly swallowed. "Hey, um, Liam?"
"Yeah?" He called from the bathroom.
"I have something I have to tell you." Liam emerged from the bathroom slowly and looked at me with worried eyes. "You know the other week? When we had that fight? And I stormed out?" Liam nodded slowly. "Well, I didn't know if I should tell you this but, um, I went to see Jason, because I thought he could cheer me up, and he er, kissed me."
Liam looked at me. Just looked right at me, and didn't say anything. Oh no. "Please say something, Liam." I muttered, looking at him with worried eyes.
Liam looked down. "I erm.. Have to talk to Niall before we leave." He placed his bag on the floor and left.
I sank down onto the floor tears filling my eyes.
