Too close

Alexia's POV:

We all landed back safely in the lair "That was awesome!" Russel grinned as he punched the air, I smiled shaking my head before John interrupted "No it was too close!" He frowned "John" Cara said putting her hand on his shoulder "Don't." He replied bluntly "John are you for real right now? We are all here safe aren't we?" I sighed as he ran his hands through his hair stress-fully. "HAVE YOU HEARD YOURSELVES" He scoffed turning to face each of us. "I came so close to loosing my sister again. After all these years of not even knowing you, I cant loose you again. We was close to getting found out and where we all live. What would of happened then? You all need to stop being so stupid and think of the risks for each action we make" He stated and you could tell from the look in his eyes that he was fuming. Scared. Lost. "John, Alexia is safe. Her powers are growing and they saved our secret" Cara reassured him as he rolled his eyes in reply. "Dude, we have had to live like this for most of our lives and you either get on and deal with it or we suffer and loose" Russel stated and I never thought I'd hear the day where Russel actually said something intelligent.

 "We have to stick together, were a team. We fight together, we succeed together and were together through the tough times. This is our life and I dont know about you but Im prepared to fight for it" Stephen added as Johns glare seemed to soften. "I admit I have had a pretty shit life, Ive lost the closest person to me and It broke me mentally and physically. But I know full well I'm not the only one in this room who has had to struggle through life but we have come out stable on the other side. I have things that haunt me, but i know for a fact i wouldnt of been able to do any of this without each of yours help. The way Ive been brought up is to face your fears or you wont get anywhere in life. Ive been so happy lately and I wont let anything atall brake what we have here, so what do you say? whats life without braking rules and being a little risk ay?" I smiled as he put his head up opening his arms. I hugged him tightly and was so lucky to have found my brother, he meant everything to me "Your so right, Im sorry guys Im just scared of loosing any of you" He stated before kissing the top of my head. "As grandma always said, your life is what you as an individual make it to be" I smiled as did everyone else.

"Alexia" John called me, "Whats up?" I asked coming into the lounge area, "Ive decided that you and Stephen should go to a hotel for the night as you dont really get alot of time together or privacy round her" H e smirked "Really? like for real" I asked confused as he was always so protective and never wanted me out of his sight. "Im serious, We have everything covered for tonight, you deserve a break and I trust you. Your a smart and brave kid and I know your capable I just get worried you know" He smiled "Thanks John, love ya" I smiled as Stephen nodded in appreciation "But tomorrow we start training to teach you how to control your powers as they are getting stronger" He winked as I nodded, "oh John, spend some time with Cara" I replied as he nodded "Have fun!" Russel shouted before we teleported to a posh hotel. It was gorgeous, we chilled out in the luxury room. It was nice, our relationship was back on track, we cuddled, laughed and I couldn't believe how my life had turned around these past months, I had powers, lost my grandma, found my long lost brother and got the love of my life back. It made me stronger as a person mentally and physically and for once i was willing to fight for the things that meant alot to me.
