Amelia's POV

I walked back through the pub and up the stairs to the apartment. Nate and Sophie were talking on the sofa, Hardison was at the computer, Parker was back to playing with her wires, and Eliot was nowhere in sight. Without saying a word to anyone else, I went to unpack my suitcase. I put the shoes on the closet floor, lined up against one wall. I was very OCD about things. I put my shirts and pant on hangers, having only two or three left over. I would surely need these another day. I put the underwear and socks in a bathroom drawer and put my other personal items either in the other drawers or on the counter. I then went to hang my posters.

I pulled the posters out of their tubes and started pinning them to the wall. Hopefully, no one would question them. Hetalia: Axis Powers, picturing Germany, Italy and Japan on the beach, all the Ouran High School Host Club characters, Sherlock Holmes and John Watson, Chameleon Circuit, Thousand Foot Krutch, Sgt. Frog, Black Butler and the Doctor soon covered my wall. Now it was starting to feel like home. There was a knock on my door as I started putting the sheets on my bed. I opened the door a little and saw Hardison.

"Hello?" I said through the small crack.

"You said you wanted to know how to get past that firewall. I was gonna show you a bunch of different techniques so you can always have a back door."

"I'll have to be at the school and get their internet connected to my laptop before I can do that."

"Oh, yeah. Sorry. So, how are you settling in?"

"Pretty well, thanks."

"I noticed when you came in that you have a box that said posters. What kind of posters?"

"Not important. Just some anime and bands and stuff."

"What kind of anime?"

"The weird ones."

"Can I see?"

"Depends. How's your eyesight?" he laughed and I opened my door the rest of the way. His eyes landed immediately on my nerdiest poster.

"No way! You listen to Chameleon Circuit too?!? High five!" He held his hand in the air a little too high. I glared at it, but jumped to high-five him. I went back to putting my sheets on the bed while he looked at my posters. Were we bonding? I pulled my laptop out of my satchel and started setting it up. I plugged it in and booted it. I hoped nothing embarrassing was going to be on it as soon as it turned on. "Is that an Alienware? Those things are high-quality, man."

"I kind of got it for free. A friend of mine was getting rid of it because he said it didn't work very well. He said I could keep it if I could get it to work. I took it home, took it apart, and saw that there were just a couple of loose wires. I fixed that and it worked perfectly. It took a while, but I got all the settings fixed so I could use it quickly."

"Cool. So you take things apart and put them back together perfectly? Nice! You and Parker would get along really well." I nodded and finished making up my bed. He left before we started talking again. I couldn't be left alone, though. Eliot came in as soon as Hardison left.

"Hey, how's it going?" he asked.

"Pretty good... people don't usually come in my room. This is a little awkward."

"I'm sorry. Look, I am really excited that you're staying here. I've missed you every day. I've never told anyone this, but after the things I've done, I wanted to kill myself. The only reason I didn't was because you were counting on me. I was always your favorite uncle who was a hero. You are the reason I did not kill myself ten years ago." I was speechless. How could he say that I was the reason he was alive? He looked around and sniffed.
