Jasper's POV:

Carlisle thankfully believes that Riley won't make any noise after I bite her, due to the fact that she is brain dead. I quickly go into her room and sit by her. I know that Charlie won't be in her for another hour, so I have some time to myself before I have to bite her. I think that I will bit one of her wounds, that way, I don't think that the doctors will suspect anything.

Thirty Minuets to go. I know that Charlie will be here soon. I don't want to leave, and I need to bite her before they turn off the machine. I grab her arm. On her wrist, there is a wound, covered in gauze, I quickly unwrap it, put my teeth down, and bit into it. There is nothing to describe the taste. It didn't taste good. I know that she is close to dying, that's when the blood tastes the worst.

After I put my venom into her blood stream, there is no screaming like there usually is. I wrap up the gauze onto her wrist again. I hear voices coming. Charlie.

I am still holding her hand as he and the doctors come in. It's obvious to tell that he was crying.

"Jasper, it's time. You should go." His voice cracking as he talked.

"No, I want to be here when it happens." My voice is full of worry. I can feel the emotions running through my veins. I can feel all of the pain that she is going through.

"Jasper..."

"I want to be with her. It's the last few moments of her life. She should be surrounded by people she loves, and who loves her. That's why I need to be here."

The doctors didn't wait any longer. He shut off the machine that was keeping her breathing. It took everything that I had not to rush over, turn on the machine, and kill the man.

"It won't be long. You can stay here until it's time, but then Dr. Cullen will take her down to the morgue. She'll be cremated."

Charlie and I sat down, me holding her hand. This shouldn't go wrong, but if it does. I know what I have to do. I would do what ever it takes to be with Riley, forever.

After two minuets of the machine beeping, I couldn't handle it anymore. I walked out of the room. I could feel Charlie's surprise. I just don't know what I should do. I can't leave her.

After another minuet, Carlisle walked past me, and into Riley's room. He pulled her bed along the halls, down to the basement of the hospital where the morgue was.

"I already have some ashes from the deer we burned." Carlisle told me while handing me the urn that he had in a bag. "There's enough in there to replace a human's"

Next, we put her in a duffle bag. I walked out of the morgue, and put the bag into Carlisle's car, that was conveniently parked, right outside. After Carlisle put the urn in the correctly placed spot, he joined me in the car and we drove home.

When we got back, it was sundown. Rose, Alice, Emmett, and Esme all looked very sad.

"You're going to have to go." Alice said to me. "When Riley wakes up, who knows what she'll be like. We already know where you're going to go." She handled me two large suitcases, one for me, and one for Riley. Along with that, she handed me a map. It was of a place in Montana.

Now, all I have to do is drive.

A day latter

It's been over twenty four hours, and Riley is still feeling a lot of pain. Thankfully, she will be waking up in two more days. I don't know how much longer I can stand to feel her pain. I just want her here with me.

I open the door to the cabin that we will be living in. I lay her down on the bed, and change her cloths to some that Alice sent with.

Two days later:

Only one more hour. I can feel the pain dying down. She will soon be awake.
