        I grabbed my bags and sat on the small couch that acquainted the lobby. Alyssa took a seat next to me and took out bubble gum.
"You want any?" She nudged a piece of bubble gum to me.
"No thanks." I answered.
"Oh come on. It's bubble gum! Who doesn't love bubble gum?! Take it." She tossed the bubble gum onto my lap. I grabbed it and stuck it in between my teeth.
"I love bubble gum. It's the best thing on Earth besides me." She blew out a piece of her gum and flipped her hair.
"I can tell from the hippie hat." She laughed at my joke and finally turned to me.
"It's a flower crown, actually." We both laughed, I guess we both have the same stupid humor. This thing can't be THAT bad, right?
"You two love birds want to see your guy's place?" That question alone made us feel REALLY awkward.
Neither of us replied and just grabbed our bags and walked into the elevator.
I made sure to stick next to Alyssa, because she seemed to be the only other sane person here. However, she kept offering me bubble gum every ten seconds. I didn't want to be rude, so I just took them. Now my right pocket might rip at any second because the amount of bubble gum weighing the pocket down.
The elevator doors opened and I couldn't wait to get out of that damn cramped death machine.
"Right here!" My mother said excitingly, the first thing she said today," Apartment 36B." She tossed Alyssa and me a pair of our own keys for the apartment.
"We love you two very much, please be safe and have fun!" Alyssa's mother shouted. She dropped Alyssa's bags and she (as well as the other adults) ran away. Weird........................
"Ladies first." I gestured her to the door. She put her keys into the door and opened it.
"Nice." She bluntly said.
This was not an apartment, this looks a damn penthouse.
I look around for the bedroom to put my stuff in....and there is only one bedroom. Great. In a big ass apartment there is only one bedroom. Honestly, our parents just want grandchildren. Ugh.
"Only one room, eh?" Alyssa asked me, causing me to jump.
"You can have it, I'll just sleep on the couch." I put my hand on my neck and took a step back.
"Thank you, but you should have it. I'd feel too bad if I take it."
I peered into the room and notice two twin beds and one queen bed. Two rooms would have done just fine you know.
"Oh, there are two beds in there!" I pointed to them in the bedroom.
"Do you, uh, want to , uh, share the room???" She trailed off, sounding like she regretted what she had just said.
I feel weird sharing a room with a stranger (WHO IS A FEMALE), then again, she is my future wife so I might as well get used to her company. Who knows, I actually might fall in love.

"So did they give us, like, money or something to buy stuff or....." Alyssa asked as she combed her hair in front of the bathroom mirror. I just sat on the bed on my phone, contemplating what to even freaking do with my life now.
"Yeah, there's some in our drawers in the kitchen." I looked up at her twirling her hair, looking at me and listening.
She looks pretty cute actually.
"Ok, I'm going to get something out of the fridge. You want anything?" She turned off the light and stood in he door frame.
"Anything will do. Actually, I don't want, like, an artichoke or something. That shit is nasty."
She laughed and walked out saying," artichoke it is." She's actually funny, I love that.
Five minutes later
"I got a thing of pickles, some chocolate, and two Sprites." She handed me a can of Sprite and a piece of Hershey's chocolate kisses.
"No pickles?" I asked while munching on my kiss.
"These are gross, so you don't want to eat them." She tightened the cap of the jar and walked out of the room with it.
I checked the time on my phone to see that it is already 10:00. Shit, that's late.
Since my twin bed is directly next to the farthest, I face the wall and begin to take my socks off. God, my feet are gross.
