I woke up to the smell of coffee and waffles and made my way downstairs. It looked to be around 9:30am I reach the bottom of the stairs and see my mom and stepdad in the kitchen setting up the table I enter the kitchen asking if I could help out with anything they told me to just sit down and they'll be there in a second. This was the first time in years since I've actually had a meal with my mom." How's the food?" They ask me "it's good really nice job on the waffles.After breakfast we cleaned up and my mom pulled me to the side"so I was thinking that we could hangout together today I mean I know that you don't fully forgive me for leaving you with your father and I'm very sorry." "Ok mom I'll give you a chance but if you mess this up by not being truthful or doing something wrong then that's it."

I read that text and gave off a little smirk nobody really knew how much I honestly loved Kaleb and also how much Kaleb loved me. I put down my phone and went to go get ready for a day with my mom. I went to my room and went through my suitcase I ended up putting on a romper filled with sunflowers and a jean jacket with brown sandals then headed back downstairs then got into the car and we drove off to somewhere. We drove to cold stone and bought ice cream then we headed to the beach. We laid out a blanket on the sand then sat down. "I know I've missed a lot of your life and I want to know what have you been up to." "Well me and this boy Kaleb have been dating for a while now dad and Cam already met him but we had some problems and we just made up a little before I came to visit you." It was a nice day and me and my mom bonded a lot more than I thought we would I thought that I would just spend my time with my friends in San Diego than actually spending time with my mom she's really changed a lot then when I last saw her. She was more understanding and I felt safer around her than I used to than when I was scared of my mom. We didn't end up leaving the beach until around 8:30pm so when I got home I texted Kaleb telling him about what I just did and how me and my mom are making up. He told me that it was good that you were making up with your mom again. He said that he wished that I was there so that he could just cuddle up with me and we would just fall asleep in each other's arms. After talking to Kaleb the rest of the night I ended up falling asleep.
