It's the day before Berny Sanders is coming to Hibbing to do his spiel in the auditorium. So my team and I are finishing up preparations it's pretty boring because all it is, is putting equipment everywhere so we have it when we need it. Well now that everything is in place and we have made sure we aren't expected to be in class tomorrow I order pizza for us then we just sit and wait for the pizza. Once it shows up we start eating and this is normally when the tv's come out and we start playing games and the party gets started but I'm depressed and everyone else is either sad or quite angry and contemplating how to kill Mariah and her friends. We found out today that the reason my best friend Haley hasn't been in school since Tuesday is Mariah. Haley tried to commit suicide because of her constant bullshit name calling and bullying. So me and my friends are all sitting in silence at lunch while in our heads we are all killing Mariah in some way or another. I somehow manage to sit through math class with the bitch sitting right in front of me. I get through band and once I get to 6th hour I get to hang out with Owen when I find out the Mr. Fleming has to go for a basketball game and we are sitting in a another teachers class room until the end of they day. We of course don't know her so we just sit in silence, I have a band lesson at 2:30 so I get to get out of class at 2:25 instead of 2:40 which is nice because it was getting really boring. After school I get on the bus to head home the 1st time that I've rode the bus after school since 1st quarter. Now I just sit at home and play video games or watch Netflix until my mom makes supper. Then I go and do the exact same thing after supper except today I can't focus so I keep dying in my game and my show that I'm watching isn't having the same appeal that it used to. Since I can't focus on anything I decide to just turn it off and turn on some music and end up falling asleep no one notices so I wake up the next morning to my alarm on my watch going off. I turn off the music which is still playing and head up stairs to have breakfast. I get to school and see hordes of people standing around the front door of the highschool there are so many that they are actually standing in the street. I get inside and see Brandy and dubs I tell dubs to get to the library pronto and Brandy and I become invisible and run to our lockers to grab our stuff. Then I walk up to the library some cops and secret service officers try to stop me and Brandy because they don't know who we are or that we're involved so we head over to the stairs by the wrestling room and I see that the security gate is down to prevent people walking up them. I have been itching to try something so I step outside and power up mulneir then step back inside. Once I'm back in I tell Brandy to go outside and stand by the door on the other side and wait for me to open it for her I then touch my hammer to the door and it begins vibrating and as I push it starts going right through the metal then I start going through as well. And just like that I'm on the other side of the barrier. I let Brandy in and we proceed to go invisible and walk right past 10 secret service agents and into the library right up to Berny Sanders he is standing there alone since no one can hear us when we're invisible I throw a book on the floor at our feet. As soon as Berny looks towards us I nod to Brandy signaling her to make us visible as we become visible he gets ready to yell for guards but I shush him. I continue on to say to him "Hello I'm Tanner Maki the leader of the Hibbing Heroes you protective unit for as long as you are in town we are all super human in one way or another like her." I nod to Brandy and she goes invisible. "Or there's me" I continue to go and pick up a full bookcase. "None of us are anywhere near normal but we aren't the same either."
He asks "So you and your "team" are the special agents that I was promised by the commander?"
"Yes we are but no one but you and the commanding officer of all the secret service boys that are here who know of our existence or the fact that we are protecting you for this occasion"
"Ok then would I be able to meet the rest of the team?"
"Yes you can. Oh Isabel!" I call she comes hovering in from the other part of the library.
"Ok so she can fly."
"Well she's a telepath who knows telekinesis, so yes." I look at Isabel and ask her to tell dubs to get in here. As soon as I'm finished saying it I hear a whoosh begging me and Berny is staring behind me as I begin to introduce him "Berny this is dubs." As I point at dubs "Dubs this is Berny Sanders." As I point to Berny.
"Is this all of your team?"
"No we're still missing a couple." I nod to Isabel then Owen comes sliding in on a sheet of ice.
"This is Owen our second geek."
"Ok how many more are there?"
"Just one." As I say this in walks Paityn with her bow."This is Paityn."
"Ok nice to meet you all, I hope that I dont need your protection but in any case it's nice to know that you are here."
"We are the Hibbing Heroes." Well now that that's over we can get on with our day but all of us have green slips to get out of class all day for the event.
