Chapter 9 Club or love

Delirious' pov.

I ran out slamming my car door out and closing it. My father called me saying that this is a straight emergency.

I knocked on his door, waiting for him to answer. He opened the door and pulled me straight in.

His hair was a mess, his eyes were red and tired. I tilted my head seeing if he'll tell me the problem. "Traitor" I would hear him whisper every once in a while.

My heart sank. He doesn't know does he? I kept my stance, while I waited for him to finish pacing.

"Fath-"

"Traitor!" He half screamed. I flinched from his sudden outburst. He walked towards me and stared straight into my eyes. "There's a traitor among us son" he whispered loud for me to hear.

"traitor?" I asked hoping he wouldn't hear my heart pounding out loud. I read his emotions and I'm sure as hell that he is pissed and upset.

"Yes! Luke's guard guaranteed that there's a traitor among us"

"With what evidence?"

He looks at me with shock but shook his head. "He said that he had caught a blue with a red together, talking, laughing!"

"Where?"

He stared at me in a questioned way. "In the woods not long from your home." He began to trail off as he glanced at me then at the floor.

"I can't believe this son but....."

"But what father?"

He looked up at me in shame. Is he going to ask me? Am I going to have to put up another lie. I listened to his heart beat as it quickened every minute.

"Are-are you speaking to a red?" He stared into my eyes begging for the answer to be no. Of course I told him the response that he needed to hear.

"No"

Nodding, he sighed in relief. Still pacing while my chest was beating rapidly. For once, I'm thankful to have my mask on.

To block out the truth for Evans sake, I need to protect him as much as possible from my father.

"What are we gonna do?" He asked looking at me. I shrugged hoping he wouldn't ask anymore questions, but due to the pressure in the room, he keeps asking and ranting out questions and ideas.

"We need to set out more guards at night and this time we need to include your friend Luke to this problem too." I sighed and nodded. "Son you like to be a guard under Luke's arm?"

Of course I was going to disagree from the fact that he bailed me out months back. I was about to speak but right before a sound came out of my mouth he smiled and said "good."

I guess I have to be a guard for a few months....I'm hoping.

"ATTENTION! ATTENTION! I NEED THE NEW RECRUIT TO COME INTO MY OFFICE!" The speakers ranged out. I sighed and walked into Luke's office.

"Ah delirious isn't it?" He asked looking at me, placing down a pile of papers. I stared at him with disgust but I didn't speak None of it.

"Yes sir" my voice answered to his stupid question. He nodded and stood up, "I need you to start patrolling the streets today. Your shift will start at 8 p.m."

I nodded. "Is that all sir?" I asked hoping he would fucking say something. But nothing less, he shook his head and walked to the window; staring outside. "you can leave now." I growled deeply enough for him to hear.
