"Ahh!"

I fell to my knees and clutched my arm in pain. I need to do this, I stood back up and bend over to grab the wood. I then placed more weight on my left arm instead, as I earned a sting pain from it.

One by one I placed the wood behind my truck. I then stretched out my arm and sighed. I hate this. I walked towards my door and opened it.

I sat down and twisted the keys to the right. Music rang out in the car but I quickly shut it off. I pressed the pedal and started to drive down the road.

"Just a few more days" I whispered. "The pain will go away and you can meet Evan at the end of the week." Okay okay I can do this just be strong for a few more days.

*Ring*

*Ring*

I moved my hand down in the back of my pocket and pulled out my phone. It read Luke. I sighed and answered the call.

"Hello?"

"Hey, you almost here?"

"Yeah"

"Okay" He hung up as I placed my phone to my side. I finally passed the village as I earned a few waves. I nodded since I didn't feel Like waving back.

I arrived to the police station and stepped out. It's almost summer just a few more weeks and everything will go to peace.

Well I hope.

Everything's gone to shit and Ive been grumpy ever since I told him to leave. Luke noticed it as far as I could tell but I didn't tell him that he came over.

I opened the door and walked inside Luke's office. "Hey! So I've been thinking on talking to your dad about a truce?" He asked as he stood up and folded some files.

"No." I told him as I sat down. His emotion turned into an upset and confused as his face changed along with it. "Oh? Why so I thought you wanted to be with Ev-."

I instantly interrupted him, "don't mention Evan to me or to anyone in public." I whispered/yelled at him. His eyes widened and placed his hands up. "Whoa okay, okay I won't just chill."

I sighed and rubbed my eyes. "I don't want my father to know yet...just not now." "Okay" he sat down and stared at me.

"Well how's your arm?" He asked leaning over on his desk. "Tell me the assignment so I can leave," he nodded and moved the drawer open.

"I need you to patrol tonight again." I nodded and left. I paced quickly to my car; as I was opening it, I sat down inside.

I miss him.

I looked behind me and pulled out of the parking lot. As much as I really need to see Evan...I can't not after of what my father told me.

I stopped my truck and leaned over placing my head on the wheel. I grabbed my wallet and stepped off the truck.

As I closed the door I walked inside the shop and looked around. "May I help you delirious?" A woman asked I turned around and looked at her.

"Yes please"

She smiled and walked over to me as she watered the plants. "Beautiful aren't they?" She asked, I nodded and touched the bright red roses.
