For Meiley (@Meiley_Ortiz): Connor Franta

Swim, Connor, Swim!

"So can you come to my swim meet on Friday? It's finals," Connor, your boyfriend, asked you through the phone. You hesitated, and looked down at your feet.

"Uhm, I'd love to Connor, but I cant. I have a swim meet the same day," You mouth tugged downward into a frown. You knew how much Connor wanted you to come to his meet. It was finals, and the last meet of the season. And to make matters even worse, Connor's parents were out of town do the week. No one would show up to the meet for him You wanted to attend the meet as much as anything, but it's not like you can just ditch your own swim meet.

"It's okay Meiley, really," Connor masked his disappointment. But it wasn't okay. Deep down, you knew you were going to find a way to make his swim meet.

Everyone started heading out of the team room, and towards the entrance of the pool. You stayed behind in the team room, telling the rest of your teammates and coach you had to use the restroom. With that lie, you slipped out the door of the team room, and quickly walked out of the school building. You hopped into your car, and began driving off to the college. There was no way you were going to miss Connor's championship.

You arrived at the college in no time. You parked your car, and rushed inside. Connor's swim meet ended at 8:00. It was 7:38. You silently prayed that the final race didn't start yet.

You found the pool, and found a spot in the bleachers to watch. You were still wearing your bathing suit, with track pants and a hoodie on top. You got to the meet just in time for the final race. You noticed Connor standing near his block. But suddenly you smiling, happy face morphed to a face full of disgust and hatred. Connor's biggest opponent was standing just to the block next to him. You knew who he was, and what he represented. He was the rivalry of your school.

The announcer voice boomed, signaling the swimmers to takes their places on their blocks. It was the 400 meter fly- Connor's best race. You had full faith in him to win it all.

"Go Connor!" You screamed. Other loud chants surrounded you. But, Connor heard you. He whipped his head around, and spotted you in the crowd. His face lit up, and he beamed towards you. You smiled back, and waved enthusiastically.

The buzzer went off. All the guys dived into the water, and began to swim furiously.

"Come on Connor! You got this!" You chants and cheers filled the room. Connor was in 3rd place as he approached 200 meters. You kept on cheering him on, "Go Connor! You can do it!"

As the final lap was closing in, Connor and the rival were neck and neck, tied for first place. They both gave it their all, pushing to get back to their blocks. With just a few feet distance, both guys stuck their arms out to touch the pool wall. Connor stuck him his arm out, kicking with his tired legs, and got to the wall before the rival did. You stood up, and cheered and screamed for Connor and his victory.

"Connor, you did great!" You said, as you ran up to hug him. Connor embraced your hug and kissed your head. Connor and the rest of his team came out from the eam room.

"Thanks! How were you able to make it?" Connor asked as he let go of your big bear hug.

"I ditched just for you," You stated, smiling cheekily, and poking his chest. Connor chuckled, and pulled you into another hug.

"I'm so glad you came, Meiley," Connor said spoke softly into your ear. You smiled happily. You felt like the luckiest girl in the world to have such an amazing boyfriend like him.

"I love you, Connor."

"I love you too, Meiley."
