Chapter 6

Chapter 6:

*Next Morning*

The alarm on my phone went off meaning I have to be at work in 40 minutes. I groan just wanting to sit in bed the rest of the day waiting for Harry to return from wherever he went to last night. I wipe up the tears that slipped out of my eyes. I got up and walked over to the dresser grabbing my undergarments then my lime green work shirt that has the shelters symbol on it and khaki shorts. I walked into the bathroom and took a shower soaking in the warm feeling. I barely got sleep last night. I’m the reason that he left and even though he will come back he will never trust me again. I sulk out of the shower and change into my work clothes before putting my hair up in a messy bun not really wanting to do anything with it. Skipping make-up I put on my black vans. As I grab my keys and purse my phone goes off. I pick it up and click the answer button.

“Hello?” I asked heading downstairs.

“Hunny why the hell haven’t you’ve been answering my calls?” My mom said in a worried tone. I walk down to the kitchen where I grab and apple say goodbye to Louis, Niall, and Liam since they were awake and then I left.

“Sorry somebody smashed my phone and I just got a new one yesterday” I say getting in the car starting it then leaving.

“Well ok then, anyways your brothers birthdays are tomorrow and we are having a party on Saturday, they were wondering since we haven’t seen you since Easter a year and a half ago that maybe you could come up both nights.” She says as I pull in and get out.

“Oh definitely, Ma I have to go to work I’ll talk to you later” I say walking into the shelter and checking in.

“Ok bye sweetie love you.” She said.

“Bye ma Love you to” I say hanging up and heading to my locker where I put my purse and grab my apron and put it on. I walk out to the front desk to see my coworker Hailey reading a magazine.

“Hi Hailey” I say sitting next to her.

“Hi Juliet, Barbara told me to tell you to feed the animals and that you have to show like 3 families the cat section and 4 the dog section.” She says I nod before walking off to the Hallway where we keep our cats. I love working at the shelter, all I do is play with the cats and dogs all day. As im feeding the last of the dogs I couldn’t help but think about Harry. God I hate this mate thing it’s like you meet them and immediately you get attached, but to be honest something’s telling me that this mate thing isn’t doing it, that physically its pulling my towards him but mentally it’s all me falling for him. I put away the food and walk back over to the desk where I take my seat.

Today has been probably one of the worst all the families were snobs always complaining. Then this mate thing is driving me nuts, wanting and needing Harry is all I can think about. I can’t go 5 minutes without thinking about him. I grab my purse and keys before signing out.

“Well I’ll see you on Monday” I say to Hailey.

“Bye Juliet” She says as I walk to the car and get in. Within 15 minutes I pulled into the garage where I park the car and get out. In about 10 minutes Ali is going to get here for our sleepover. I get out and race to mine and Harry’s room hoping he will be there but knowing he won’t. As I walk in I don’t even bother looking so instead I run to my closet and grab my purple onsie. Too lazy to go to the bathroom I strip out of my work clothes and throw them into the dirty pile.

“Well this is the welcoming I wasn’t expecting…” I hear a deep voice say I let out a squeal and turn around to see Harry. It’s been a day since I’ve seen him and yet it feels like a year.
