Hide And Seek ~ Josh Dun

Chapter 15

"Get up 'cause the world has left you lying on the ground." I hum as Jenna scurries around, gathering all of her makeup. She's so energetic, and has had a huge smile on her face all day.

"We have to make you look extra hot tonight." She says, finally placing all of her makeup on the counter. Scrunching my eyebrows, I tilt my head at her.

"Um, well you wouldn't want to go to a concert without looking your best, right?" She says, pulling my hair back. I nod. "So let's get you all dolled up!"

30 minutes later, both Jenna and I have our makeup done and are dressed. I have my hair down, curled at the tips. She winged my eyeliner and put on a deep red lipstick on me. I'm wearing high waisted red shorts with a black lace shirt. Jenna has her hair up, with makeup similar to mine. She is wearing ripped skinny jeans with one of Tyler's old shirts. Simple, but beautiful.

"We gotta take a cab there, the boys left earlier for sound check." Grabbing the stuff I would need for tonight, we walk out of the hotel.

"OMG you're Jenna Joseph!" A girl screams from across the sidewalk, running over in front of traffic. Jenna stops walking, and waits for her to get across. We took a cab to town, and decided to look around before going to the venue.

"Hey!" Jenna grins at the fan, who starts squealing.

"Oh my god, I like, love you. I would say I love Tyler more than you but then I remember that you guys are married so Ill say I love Josh." The young girl rambles, talking with her hands. Jenna raises her eyebrows and nods as the girl talks. I can't help but laugh.

"Who are you?" The fan demands, cocking her hip. Jenna scoffs as she watches the attitude change.

"I-" I start, but Jenna cuts me off, linking her arm with mine.

"She's Josh's girlfriend. So you better treat her with respect." Her tone is chilling, but respectful. The fan nods, crossing her arm. "Thanks! Now we gotta go meet our men. See you at the show later tonight, hopefully!" And with that, we are off.

Once out of earshot from the fan, I burst out laughing.

"Josh's girlfriend?"

"It goes two ways with these fans. They find out you're dating them, they will either respect you or hate you. That was the only way to try to get respect. Besides, it's not a complete lie. You guys act like a couple." I blush, bending my head down to hide it.

"Do we really?" Jenna nods her head. "I don't even know we are doing it. It just feels natural." Jenna smiles at me, letting me know she is listening to every single word.

"That's how it was for me and Tyler." She states in a singsong voice. I laugh and push her, and change the topic as we strut into the venue.

The conversation has left my mind rolling. Do I like Josh? Well, of course. Who wouldn't? He is handsome as hell, and a total sweetheart. But could things actually work out? Shaking my head, I clear everything out of my head. Looking up, I make eye contact with Josh and my heart about stops.

Yup. I'm in further than I thought.
