"Are you excited for your first day?" I remember my mother María asking me.

"... I don't know..." I reply quietly. I wasn't really looking forward to the school years to come. It'd force me to be around other creatures more often. That scared me because of what I've become accustomed to.

"Oh my darling, it will be fine with me here. I promise." My mother said. "Remember what I always say?"

"Las cosas se pondrán mejor" I reply. "Things will get better." My mother is fluent in Spanish and English. Spanish obviously since it's the language she learned growing up.

"Correct. Remember that." She said with a smile. I smiled back. My mother really is a wonderful creature.

The school I went to was Fellwood Academy. It served as a school for all ages and even college classes in agriculture. My first day was just adapting to school. My elective didn't start until a week later. I took agriculture because my mother was the teacher for that elective. It was amazing watching her teach the young spellbound deer  to use their magic for the land. Being a earth based demon she possessed similar abilities like bringing withered flowers back to their blooming beauty.  Mother says demon bloodlines overpower pure creatures bloodlines so I have the same abilities. It wasn't till I was thirteen that I was able to use them though.

Speaking of my teen years changes began to happen not just for me but for others around me. Especially Zack, a werewolf who felt it was his life's purpose to destroy my life even more so.  He along with Keith and Copper who are Serpentines bully me more than anyone. Thank Zephyr that I was still taking my Mother's agriculture class. It was at the end of the day now but, that meant I could stay with her after school. It was one day after school that I started to sing a song that had been stuck in my head all day.

"... I grew up in a world were I was hated... Never thought I could ever make it... No one ever cared about me... Never thought I could ever be free-"

    "Ty!" Mother called suddenly.

"GAH!" I Yelp as I drop the pan of water on the ground.

"Ty I never knew you could sing! Oh this gives me a perfect idea! Ven conmigo darling!"

"Wait! What? Why?" I say as she pushed me gently to the door that led inside the glass dome.

"I'm gonna take you to meet Alan!" She said.

    "Who?"
