A/N: Hey guys, just a heads-up, if you have really bad anxiety over confined spaces, you might want to skip the first part of the italic bit. It's safe from the {}-thingy. Enjoy!

Evan

I open the big, wooden doors, and walk into the building. It's completely dark inside. I can't see anything, but I notice a cold, stone wall touching my left hand. Then I also feel one against my right hand. I realise they are coming closer, slowly inching in on me. I try to push them away, kick them, throw my weight up against them, but they don't seem to budge. I start to panick. The walls are now pressing against my shoulders, and I can feel the wall in front of me is also starting to move, gradually closing in. In a matter of moments, I can feel I'm completely encased by all four walls, and I'm slowly being compressed. Soon I won't be able to breath, and then the walls will slowly crush all of the bones in my body, if I will even live to experience that.

I want to break free, try to push the walls of me, break them, try to climb up, but I literally can't move an inch. I try to scream for help, but because my chest is now being completely pressed into my body I can only produce a weird groan-like noise.

{}

''Evan?''

Dodie. It's Dodie.

As soon as I think this, the walls immediately melt into a small, round puddle at my feet. There is light. I fall to my knees and  breathe. It's fine. It's fine. She's fine. She's here.

''Evan?''

Why does she sound so scared?

I look up. Where is she? I stumble to my feet, my hand on my injured chest. Where is she? I look around, no sight of the girl.

''Evan, what have you done?''

I look up, and intense dread washes over me. About twenty meters up, there's a ledge on the wall that goes all the way around the square room. Then about three meters above that, there's another ledge, and above that, there's another one and so on. The room is so high I can't see the ceiling, with infinite ledges on the walls. On the one closest to me, right in front of me, I see Dodie.

''Why do I have to do this, Evan?'' She asks me, a tear rolling down her cheek.

I don't get what she's talking about, but then I see it. The walls of this room are starting to close in as well, forcing her to keep stepping a little bit closer to the end of the ledge.

No.

I try to run to her, but I can't lift my feet. They're stuck to the puddle of melted wall on the floor. When I look up to tell her this, suddenly there are thousands of Dodies on every ledge. Infinite Dodies look down on me in sheer terror, all with their feet only barely still on the edge of the ledges.

''Why did you make me do this, Evan?'' They wisper in unison.

The walls push further, and as if in slow-motion the infinite Dodies fall down all around the room, the air filled with silently crying, dark-haired girls, slowly falling to the ground.

''Evan?''

''No''

''Evan?''

''I'm so sorry''

''Evan?''

''It's all my fault''

''Evan?! Wake up!''

I gasp for air. I open my eyes and sit up. I bend over and put my head in my hands. It's okay. I'm fine. I feel a warm hand on my bare back. I look up and see Dodie sitting at the edge of my bed. She's fine.

''You alright there, bud?'' she asks, but there's an undertone of worry to her voice.

I scoot over and embrace her. Although she seems surprised at first, she hugs back after a moment.

''What's going on, Evan?'' She asks. ''Talk to me''

''Nothing... It was... It was just a bad dream.''

I let go of her and lean over to my bedside table, turning on the light and grabbing my glasses. Now I can see more clearly, I start to blush a little bit. She's fully dressed in pajamas and a dressing gown, while I sleep in nothing more than my boxers...

I quickly grab a shirt off the ground and throw it on. My face must be redder than the YouTube logo, 'cause Dodie can't suppress a small smile.

''Dodie?''

''Yes'' she says.

''Do you want this?''

''This?'' She looks confused.

''Us, I mean.'' I blush even more ''This... arrangement we've got going on.'' I look at her.

''Evan,'' she sighs. ''I would do everything for you, you know that.''

''Yes, but just because you're willing to do it, doesn't mean you should.''

She looks thoughtful for a moment.

''Evan'' she looks me in the eye. There it is again, that fierce, determined look.

''I would travel to the end of the earth for you.'' she says, and I notice she's flushing slightly.

''But I wouldn't go anywhere at all if you wouldn't be able to join me.''

We're both silent for a moment.

''Alright then...'' She says, awkwardly. ''I'll be uhhm... off, then.''

She's already stood up and walking towards the door when I stop her.

''Dodie, wait.'' She turns around. ''Would you mind... staying here for a bit?'' I say.

''No'' she says, smiling. ''I wouldn't mind.''

She puts her dressing gown on the floor, and gets into bed next to me.

Eventually I fall asleep with her head on my chest, quietly snoring.

Safe as can be.
