(Name) tapped her foot and stared daggers down at Inigo as he sank down as far to the floor as he could. “Inigo! She yelled at him. “Why did I catch you flirting with other women again!?”
Inigo sweatdropped and backed away further. “I-I wasn’t flirting dear! I was just.. uh… Talking! Yes I was just talking about the weather with them!”
(Name) glared harder at him. She wasn’t going to fall for his petty excuses anymore knowing how much of a flirt he was. “I am your wife and pregnant with your child who I could give birth to any day now! You can’t just go flirting with other women just because it’s your birthday and you feel like it! Sure we’re not at war anymore and we can all be more carefree. But that doesn’t mean you can just flirt with whatever woman you find, even though all of them reject you.”
“Did you have to say that (Name)?” Inigo said.
“Forget it! Stop flirting with other women or else I’ll let Nah eat you!”
Inigo shivered. Yep, (Name) was angry alright. It might have just been a mood swing, but now he highly doubted it. He was certain he was going to face (Name)’s hormonal wrath unless he could figure out a way to get out of this.
“I’m truly sorry my love,” Inigo said. “It wasn’t really my intention to flirt, I promise. I said you’d always be the only one for me right?” Maybe that would save his skin long enough to see another day.
(Name) sighed and tried to calm down. “Alright then. If you’re true to your word, then you’ll take me with you whenever you go out on your little outings to talk to these women too.”
Inigo felt like he would freeze up. Great, now there really was no way out of this he could think of. If he refused she would get even more upset and suspicious. And if he accepted, no more ladies for him. “So do you agree to my terms?”
Inigo sighed. “Yes sweetheart.”
“Good . And don’t even think of sneaking awa-“ (Name) stopped midsentence and clutched her stomach, feeling as if she would double over in pain.
“(Name)! Are you alright?!”
(Name) dragged herself to the nearest chair she could find and sat down in it. “G-go fetch a nurse Inigo! Hurry! I’m going into labor!” Inigo shot up and ran as fast as he could to find a nurse to help (Name) with their baby. As soon as he found one, he ran back with her to (Name). He took hold of her hand as the nurse gave breathing and pushing instructions to her. Inigo was also trying to encourage her to ease her from as much pain as he possibly could. Finally after all that time, their baby came, crying and healthy, and the nurse wrapped the baby up in a blue silken blanket and handed him to Inigo.
He held their new son gently in his arms and rocked him while he soothed his crying. Besides the hair color on what little hair he had, he could see (Name) written all over his features. This is what he was fighting for before the fell dragon Grima was put to rest. To have a family with (Name) after everything had settled down. “Looks like there won’t be anymore flirting for me little guy,” he whispered softly to the baby. “I have to take care of you and mommy all the time now.”
His baby boy soon fell asleep in his arms as (Name) started to wake up from recovery. “Morning sunshine,” Inigo said, still rocking the baby with one arm and helped her sit up straight with the other.
(Name) smiled upon seeing their little boy asleep in his father’s arms. “He’s so precious…” she whispered softly, barely able to take her eyes off of him.
“What should we name the little guy?” said Inigo.
“As your birthday gift, I’ll let you decide his name. Just as long as it’s nothing too stupid.”
Inigo looked back to the baby boy sleeping in his arms. “I’ll name him Morgan.”
“It sounds like a girl’s name Inigo,” (Name) said, starting to get her glare back.
“It’s a name that could go either way, I swear!” Inigo said in his defense.
“Good.” (Name) laid back down. “There won’t be anymore flirting with any other girl but me right?”
“Yes dear, I’ve already established this with Morgan.”
“Good, because you’re mine no matter how many ladies come flocking to you.”
