Callum's POV

I smirked as May ran down the hallway.  The girl was a feisty one and was very scary she wanted too be, but that was her best qualities to me. The students dispersed after the scene I had caused by beating up Luke and saving May. I didn't want to stick around so when all the students and administrators weren't looking. I bolted for the stairs and ran out off sight. when I opened the door that led to the roof and gently closed it making sure the rusty hinges made as little noise possible. I walked across the roof and then waled towards the railing to take in the scenery.

I looked around at the scene and found it breathtaking. I could see the city and local buildings around the area. I looked forward and found myself looking at the tall skyscrapers at the metropolis of the city. I took a deep breath and exhaled, frost forming in front of me. I gripped the railings and looked bellow. The five story school looked frightening for anyone who was looking down, but too me it paled in comparison to what I've seen. I hauled myself over the railing and placed my feet upon the cold steel rod.  You may be thinking I'm insane, but this is typical for me. I smiled and thought of my life back home when I used to do this on much larger buildings. I then frowned at the thought feeling a hole in my chest when I thought of home.

Suddenly, the door creaked open and I found myself turning around hastily. I slipped and fell over the railing, but catch a glimpse of May's look of terror as I slipped on the railing. She ran over to me, but she was too late. I closed my eyes and concentrated. I suddenly stopped falling and I opened my eyes. I looked behind me and saw silver wings sprouted from my back. They were two feet long and about a foot wide. I flapped them and shot up back to the railing. May had her hands on the railing and her face down sobbing. I couldn't help but smirk at her obliviousness. "Hey why are you crying?" I said in a soft tone. Her faced lifted and she looked at me and turned pale. She backed away and held her hands to her face in disbelief. "You have wings!" she exclaimed. This was my turn to be shocked. Mortals couldn't view my wings, but somehow she could.  "How can you see me?" I questioned. She thought carefully then said "You're standing right in front of me." I quickly grabbed her arm and drag her away from the railing.

I couldn't believe it! A mortal saw my wings. Usually they mistakes these events as phenomenon, but this girl manage too see right through the illusion. I quickly scanned through my brain to find out an explanation on how she could possibly see my wings. She watched me with a fearful expression and looked as if she'd bolt away at the soonest sign of danger. Then I knew the only way to keep her sane was to tell her the truth on what I was. I took a deep breath and said "I know you're very confused and I'll try to answer your questions. I'm an angel from heaven and I'm stationed here on Earth to do my service to you know." She looked at me funny, but netherless didn't interrupt. "Most mortals like you can't see my wings, because the Archangels relinquish that ability amongst the mortals a long time ago, but there was a legend that one family still kept that ability alive and passed it down to every offspring. Not only that, but the family could perform holy magic such as making miracles happen. The family apparently hid from the Archangels when they had took away the abilities. The rumor never surfaced, because we expected that the spell would at least banish the Sight from your lineage. If this is true then your life is in grave danger, because the leagues of Hell will want to use your magics for evil" I finished and May just looked at me. She finally said "So what do we do?" "I dunno but I recommend we just stay quiet and continue like it's normal until I find a solution. "I agree" she said. We walked down the stairs, but unknown to us a dark figure was following us.
