My Hidden Angel

Chapter 1: The New Kid

        May's day started off as a normal one. She woke up and got ready for school. On the way out of her room she looked into the mirror. She wasn't very self conscious and she had the right so. With her dark brown hair and deep amber eyes she was a catch for anyone. She had a very innocent personality but was very cruel when angered. She said goodbye to her family and headed off to her school. May went to Angelus Highschool. She was in her sophomore year. She was popular amongst the student and often got dating proposals, but rejected all of them. She thought it would have been an average day, but how wrong she was. 

        I arrived at my homeroom class taught by Professor Steinwells. I went to my seat and reviewed my homework when suddenly the door opened to reveal a new figure. He was tall and  slender wearing a black hoodie and had red headphones around his neck. He had silver hair done up in spikes to the back of his head and wore a mischievous grin on his face that made you want to check if your belongings were still with you. Everyone got settled in and when the morning rituals were done Professor Steinwells started to introduce the newcomer.

        "Everyone I would like to introduce you to Callum Argentum." the Professor Hollered. The mysterious boy introduced himself and I could already see the other girls giving him looks. I rolled my eyes at their pathetic attempts to win the boy over. He barely stayed here for a full 20 minutes and they're already hitting on him what a joke. He ignored the looks and asked where he would sit. Professor Steinwells told him he could choose any seat he wanted too. I half expected him to sit with the girls, but surprisingly he walked over to where i was sitting and sat in the seat right next to me. I wasn't expecting him to do that and it certainly caught me by surprise. I must've had a funny look on my face cause he smirked at me and chuckled. I blushed and turned the other direction to avoid more embarrassment. When the Professor  started the lesson the boy just sat there staring out the window. I wonder what he was thinking, but I new one thing was for sure he is an enigma.

        The rest of the classes went smoothly and lunched period came by quickly. I was heading to the rooftops to eat my lunch because of the silence when I bumped into Kate. Kate is my bestfriend she was blonde and she had a fun personality, but she was ill. Immediately I asked her "How are you feeling." She said "I'm good just dropping bye to give the principal a note that i won't be at school for the next week." I nodded knowing her illness was taking a toll on her. We said goodbye and we parted ways. I approached the stairs until I was blocked by Luke Colten. He was the star quarterback for our football team with beefy looks and a ego larger than a blue whale. He was always trying to win my affections, but my rejections mean nothing. " Hey May how about we meet later" he said. I glared at him and tried to move around but he pushed me to the ground. "Going so soon, how about a kiss?" he asked. Then a voice said " Leave her alone she looks like she'd kill herself than kiss you." Callum walked out in front of Luke and smirked. Luke yelled "Back of punk before i crush you." Callum looked amused and said "You sure about that?", and with that comment he turned look around and grab his right arm and bent it backward. He whispered to Luke "You touch her again or even threaten her next time I'm gonna break your arm you understand?" Luke whimpered a yes and Callum let him go and kicked in his back for good measure.

        He turned around and helped me up. He gathered my belongings and held them out to me. I quickly grabbed them, but before I could run of wit them Callum yanked me back. I glared at him and he said to me "Aren't you gonna say thank you?" Everyone looked at him like he'd gone insane no one had ever asked me that question and no one dared to. I gave him my signature death stare, but he just stood there. "We could just walk like this you know?" I glared at him and said "Thank You" He let go and said "See now was it really that hard?" I turned and stormed off and I could already feel the smug look on his face. What I hoped he didn't see was me blushing like a tomato.
