whew. acting. this class is such a good one because its something i really enjoy and its such a laid back class. i get into the class and see my second mother, mrs. mcmillen. that woman has done way much more for me than she should have.
"lydia!!!" she says and runs towards me with open arms.
"i cant believe that this is my last year in acting class."
"i know. me neither." she says as she almost sheds a tear. i had no idea i impacted this woman so much.
i take my seat and get ready for class and there it is again. are these people stalkers. they seriously followed him to class. dont they have places to go and people to see, things to do. of course they do but im guessing its not a big deal.
he walks in and of course they cant follow him in because they aren't in the class. theres only the lord to thank for that. since there aren't many people in the class, he sits two chairs away from me in the little theatre.
the bell rings and everyone starts to settle down. mrs. mcmillen starts the class.
"hello everyone of my special seniors who i will miss so much next year." what a woman
"we are going to start the class with a skit. i will put you guys with a partner. let me just figure them out real quick." she says as she sits down.
i noticed everyone take a glance at nick and wanting to be with him for the project. i of course wanted anyone but him. but just typical, i get just the opposite.
"nick and lydia are our first partners."
i look at her and the woman gives me a freaking wink. what a dog.
he looks around a little, looking for me. until he realizes im right next to him. he gives me a small smile before he directs his attention back to the teacher.
she reads the rest of the partners off and we all get to go a place in the room to start our skits.
"so any ideas of what we should do?" he says.
"not really, but it seems like everyone expects us to do pretty well."
"yeah. i'm kind of over it now. everyone has been following me around all day today and i'm sick of it. some of my best friends are acting like i'm royalty when i'm not. i miss having normal people to talk to."
"i have no idea how that feels, but im sure its awful."
he seems oblivious to what i'm saying he kind of just nods his head at me.
"so anyways, after i saw you at lunch i thought i knew you from somewhere and then i realized that you're lydia davidson. you're that really good volleyball player from grammar school. we were lab partners in, like, 6th grade or something."
i laughed. "yeah that's me."
"didn't you get a full ride to, like, Hawaii or something."
"yeah how did you know that?"
"word travels fast."
"i guess so." i said.
"you got hot," he said while looking me up and down, slightly under his breath.
"hmm?" i say knowing fully aware what he said.
"nothing."
maybe this kids not bad after all.
