this day could not have been any longer. i finally get back to my locker, put my homework in, and basically sprint out the door. i'm almost out the door until i remember that i drove nick to school and now i probably have to drive him back. at first, i'm not happy that i'm in this place longer than i have to be, but then again, more time with nick, who is beginning to grow on me.

i text him and he responds with a picture of him at my car already. this kid.

i go out to my car and he laughs at me with out me even saying a word. we get in the car and he cannot stop laughing.

"stop its not that funny, nick." i say.

"ok it isn't, but for some reason, its the funniest thing ever."

i chuckle at that and put the keys in the ignition. i get out the parking lot and start to head home.

"hey, wait." nick says. he scares me and i almost get in a car accident.

"holy..," i take a breath and keep driving, "what's up nick."

"let's do something."

"like what?"

"lets go downtown." i look at him. this kid's crazy. i look like i just became un-homeless. "come on. it'll be great. its only 2:30 and i've had the time of my life with you today." aw, me?

i was against the idea for a good 5 seconds until he gave me the cutest smile ever.

"fine." i said. i've never caved more than with him.

"yesss." he says like a 6 year old.

we head down the freeway towards downtown chicago. i don't go there often, but when i do, i have the best time. that's where i aspire to be. in a city where dreams are achieved left and right. and the view, wow. beautiful.

i find a parking garage and we split the bill for the parking. we leave and right in front of us is the big ass bean. the thing is huge and luckily its 3:00 on a friday so it isn't that crowded. we walk up to the bean and start to take some pictures like any normal people do. we stopped taking selfies and asked someone to take a picture of us for us.

we stand in front of the bean. i get into my normal picture position and i all of a sudden feel nick twist me around so i'm looking at him.

he looks me directly in the eye and puts his hand on my cheek. i was confused at first. is this some kind of photo op or something?? like, TMZ? nope.

he looks me right in the eye until i realize his lips are on mine. at first, i'm reluctant to do anything, but then i realize, i do have feelings for nick. i kiss back and wrap my arms around his neck, pulling him in closer to me.

he steps back and looks at me with that cute smirk again. god, the cutest smirk. we both look at the people taking the picture, and they look back with the most awkward smiles i've ever seen. they must be so confused, and to be honest, i was too. nick grabs the phone and says thank you.

"why'd you do that?," i asked.

"because ever since i've been here, actually ever since i looked at you, i knew that somehow some way, i would make you mine."

there it is ladies and gents. the mating of lydia and nick. i'm glad it finally happened, but there is way more in store ;-)))
