Chapter 6- Breakfast Club
Waking up to my phone going off, I got up and dressed. I wore light ripped Jean with a white shirt that said 'Don't Worry Friday's Coming'. I slipped on some flip flops and did some quick makeup. I curled my hair with a curling wand and finished getting ready.
I wanted to get down stairs and eat breakfast before the others so I wouldn't have to see Axel.
I grabbed my purse and room key and was out the door. Shutting it behind me the door across the hall opened.
Axel stood there when he saw me coming out of my room. Rolling my eyes I began to walk away. Making it to the elevator I tapped the button while waiting for it to come up.
"Hey hope, how are you?" Axel said suddenly next to me to get on the elevator.
"Just dandie,you?"
"Good" Axel said hitting the main floor button. We sat in awkward silence until he started talking.
"Who your favorite person?" He asked.
So now he want to finish the game.
"I don't know, probably Lilly"
"That hurts Sunshine" he said putting a hand over his heart. With a smirk tugging at his lips.
Demon child I tell you he is a demon.
The elevator suddenly jerks and I go to fall and Axel grabs me and brings me close to his chest. I can smell his faint scent of mint. I grab him back and the elevator stops. I looked up wide eyed.
"Are you ok?" Axel asks concerned
"Yeah I think so." I say, red growing on my cheeks as I realize how close we are.
"Thanks for catching me?" I say standing up straight. And he lets me out of his grip.
"No problem sunshine, I would love to hold you again" he says grabbing me from behind and hugging my sides. His arms around my waist. He starts to rock like we've been a couple for 20 years. Taking a step forward he doesn't let go.
Demon! I called it!
"Please let go, I wanna get out of this elevator." I say turning around his hands still on my waist.
We were so close I could see how crisp blue his eyes are. The light freckles along his nose and cheeks. His perfect pink lips that were slightly parted.
Our eyes meet and we stood there staring. I glanced down at his lips and back up at his eyes. The elevator stopped and the door opened. We were there, still standing. He broke away from our little moment. I looked down, a little disappointed. '
why would I be disappointed?'hold up Hope Biggs does not do feeling. MADE OF STEAL!
" uh, we should get breakfast" he said walking out of the elevator. " are you coming?" He asked
"Um? No I'll just eat later it's ok" I said hitting the button to go back up. Suddenly I wasn't hungry anymore. I looked up and his face looked dropped at my words.
"Come on sunshine, you need to eat. I know you didn't eat last night." He said putting out his hand. I took it and stepped out into the lobby.
"How do you know I didn't eat last night?" I asked confused.
"Oh umm, I didn't mean, I just-" he struggled for words.
"What is it?" I asked raising a eyebrow "I won't be upset." I added reassuringly.
"I came into you room last night and checked on you." He said turning his head away.
'WAIT WHAT, he checked on me, of course I was flattered but it was still kinda creepy' like oh I'm just gonna stalks you.
"Oh that's um" I said looking for words.
"I know it must sound creepy I just wanted to make sure you were okay, that's all." He said and stopped when we got to the breakfast buffet. I grabbed a plate and he did the same.
"Did our moms over hear our argument and tell you to check on me?" I asked as we walked around the buffet table.
."No, actually just I chose to because I felt bad about our argument and wanted to see you to talk about it, but you were sleeping " He stopped to plop some eggs on his plate.
'did he care or just not want to fight with me? I don't know but I knew he did come in my room last night for some reason.
Maybe he wanted to spawn Satan on me. Or even video tape me"
At that thought I shivered.
"How did I get under the covers then?" I asked out of pure curiosity. We stopped and sat down at a table to eat. He sat across from me.
"I picked you up and put you under the cover and set your alarm for the same time as me so we could talk the next morning." He said flatly staring down at his food. Then he added "then I left"
I was amazed. What happened to bad boy Andrews. I shoved my mouth full of hash brown.
"Thanks, you know for covering me up, but why did you set the alarm for the same time?" I asked taking a sip of orange juice.
"You ask a lot of questions, you know that?" He said smiling. The rest of the time it was quiet except the sudden clash of pots and pans in the back kitchen but it was a comfortable quiet though. When I looked up he was staring at me.
"Yes?" I asked smiling.
"We better get back up, and let the other know where we've been For the past 2 hours." He said standing up.
"We've been here for 2 hours?! " I asked shocked and scrambling to get my purse. I stood up and we walked to the elevator. I saw a door with the word stairs printed on it. Walking away towards this door Axel pulled me on the elevator.
"I wanted to take the stairs!" I said,
"You don't like me holding you?" He said smirking with a wink. I turned away not answering him. We hit the floor we were on and got off the elevator.
I stopped at my room and put in my room key opening the door. Axel did the same.
"See ya later hope" he said with a wink.
"See ya Axel" i said and shut the door.
