Recap:

I walked towards the door after hearing a knock on it.

I slowly opened it just enough for me to see who's standing there.

And it's the person I'd least expect.

"Hey, Kiara." Luke scratched the back of his neck awkwardly.

"I-uh, hi." I wiped away my tears and looked away from Luke.

"Are you- uh, okay?" He asked awkwardly. He doesn't care, he probably just came up here to tell me to shut up.

"I'm fine." I lied.

"I know that's not true." He looked at me in the eyes, his eyes filled with pity. But I don't need his pity, he doesn't care anyways. He probably hates me and thinks I'm annoying for making so much noise being a whimp and crying. He doesn't care.

"No- I'm fine. I promise." I crossed my fingers behind my back as the white lie seethed though my teeth.

(End of recap)

"Kiara, please. Don't lie to me." He pleaded with heavy eyes.

"I'm not lying." I kept my fingers crossed behind my back.

"Put your arms out." He demanded and my face flushed.

"No, why?" I played it off.

"Put your arms out and promise me that you're okay." He demanded.

I reluctantly put my arms out and slowly said the oh-so-famous phrase, "I'm fine."
