You struggled to breathe regularly as the enormous creature pushed your and Luke's supplies around with its feet. It seemed threatened. You could feel its uncertainty in the air, its primal anger.

What the hell was that thing? You narrowed your eyes and examined the faint shape, not wanting to turn the lantern back on.

It hulked over everything in its path, peering around slowly with unseen eyes stuck in the middle of its meaty, neckless head. Its large, grotesque arms were held out at its sides, with its gnarled hands pinching and grabbing in the air, as if itching to catch something for its meal. It walked slowly and clumsily on its two wide, long feet, causing an absurd amount of vibration with each lumbering step. You couldn't see the details of it, and you didn't want to.

What could you do? It continued to sniff the air.

You shifted in your place, your legs going numb from sitting so long. You were careful not to make a sound.

But the lantern you had been holding did not adhere to this care. It slipped through your fingers. You wanted to reach out and grab it...but it was too late.

You stayed as still as you possibly could with shallow breaths as you, horrified, watched it roll away...into the path of the monster.

The creature, startled by the noise, stepped forward, and immediately, the whole cave was flooded with a brilliant light. Its clumsy footing had triggered the switch.

You were revealed.

The monster shook, blinded momentarily by the light, as were you.

You saw it in full clarity now. Small, vicious eyes, a large gaping mouth with daggers for bloodstained teeth, ragged fingers with sharp talons that must have been longer than your arm. Your breathing stopped.

The disgusting creature terrifyingly opened its mouth.

An earsplitting roar then emerged from the monster, shaking the entire cave; rocks from the ceiling crumbled to the floor with the vibrations of it.

It struck complete and utter terror into your heart, and as you dove to the floor, covering your head with your arms to protect yourself from the falling rocks and the noise, you gave forth a violent, cracked scream, wrought with horror and desperation.

The creature turned upon hearing the unfamiliar noise, focusing its beady, dark eyes upon its source.

You were discovered.
