You shrieked as the monster lurched toward you, its mouth gaping wide in fury. You dove to one side as it swiped at you ferociously. It let another roar rip through the air in anger, making your head spin. It clawed through the air again, barely missing your nose as you ducked. You sprang in between its legs as its claws came flying at you yet again, rolling through to the other side, toward the cave entrance. There was a chance of hiding out in the wreckage of the ship, if you could find it through the sand.

It was there, as you darted away from the creature's attacks, that you saw a thin blue blade ignite.

Luke rushed in hurriedly, staring, horrified, at the monster that was struggling toward you two. He lifted his lightsaber in faux confidence.

"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING?!" he yelled to you, over the noise of the monster. You came to a stop next to him.

"I DON'T KNOW - IT CAME IN WHILE YOU WERE GONE AND - HELP ME DO SOMETHING!" you screamed in reply.

Luke's mind was working at a furious speed. The monster was roaring, and coming closer and closer with each horrendous step. He scanned the room. What the hell could HE do against this beast?!

"THE SHELF! THE SHELF!" he yelled suddenly. You looked to where he was frantically pointing.

There was indeed a stone formation jutting out, just in front of the monster's path. But what -

"NO!!" you screamed as he sprinted his way to it. He climbed on top of it, catching the monster's attention.

The jut allowed Luke to be at eye level with the monster. He backed up against the wall as the monster turned to him instead of you. You then realized what he was about to do, and smirked slightly. Clever bastard.

As the creature raised its disgusting hand to hit him, Luke pushed off from the stone wall, and with a sharp cry, jumped toward the monster. He grasped harshly onto the monster's rough and horned skin, holding on as tight as he could with one hand while lifting his lightsaber with the other. The creature lurched around, trying to throw Luke off, but he was not letting go.

If he could just plunge the lightsaber into its head...but the creature thrashed so much that Luke could only concentrate on hanging on for his life.

It struck you that you should do something to distract the menace.

Without thinking, you rushed toward the monster.

"HEY!" you shouted, waving your arms wildly at the monster. Surprisingly enough, the remarkably unclever brute was distracted by your movements.

You began to laugh wildly at the creature, still shouting and waving your arms.

"OVER HERE, ASSHOLE!" you screamed, with a wide smile on your face.

Luke laughed as well. The creature was staring at you, motionless, confused by Luke's attack and your distraction. Luke saw his chance.

He lifted his lightsaber and...

The creature thrashed about once more. It had felt the heat of the lightsaber against its rough skin, and reached around and grabbed Luke.

You stood still, your hands still raised above your head, your smile disappearing as you watched Luke being held in the air in front of the creature.

Luke struggled, and suddenly let out a bloodcurdling cry of agony. He felt one of the monster's sharp talons sinking deep into his left side. The pain was almost overwhelming, but he lifted his lightsaber once more, almost too quick to see. With it, he reached out and slashed the two beady eyes of the creature, earning a high-pitched roar tinged with pain. The creature released Luke as he was blinded, and he hit the ground. He was, at first dazed by the fall, but he swiftly stood up, clutching the wound in his side, and ran away as the monster raged.
