"What took you so long!?" Kari exclaimed when I reached the car, sliding into the passenger seat.

"It was only like 15 minutes drama queen." I replied as I rolled my eyes. She always made everything a bigger deal then it was.

"We'll it was 15 minutes to long." She said as she shoved her key in the ignition and the car roared to life. The radio blasted some old time Jonas brothers song before she could turn it down and I erupted with laughter.

"Have you been listening to the Disney Radio again?" I asked through my fits of giggles.

"You know you love it!" She said as she cranked the volume up more.

"Cause I'm burning up, burning up for you baby!" We exclaimed at the same time.

I had totally forgotten what had happened with Aiden in the hallway until she turned down the radio and asked me why I was late.

I rolled my eyes and sighed, not wanting to tell her because I knew exactly how she would react.

"I had to talk to Mr. Hopkins." I said simply. I opened my mouth to tell her about Aiden but I decided against it. But I knew it was to late, she knew there was more to say.

"Anddddd....."

"Andddddd...... Nothing. That's all."

"Ellison." She new I hated that name. "I won't call you that if you just tell me what's up."

"Ugh fine." I agreed hesitantly. "I just had a little run in with Aiden Ryder." That was an understatement. Her eyes budged with this new information.

"WHAT?!" She yelled as she pulled the car to an abrupt stop on the side of the road. "What happened? Did yall make out ?Fall in love? Make babies? " she teased.

I giggled and rolled my eyes as while I explained everything.

"Oh my god. You talked to Aiden Ryder."

"It's no big deal Kari, in fact he's a huge dick. I hate him." I said as I crossed my arms over my chest and looked away. Even though he was insanely hot his personality sucked.

"Well I think you're crazy." She replied as we made our way home.

We pulled up to the gates of my house and Martin greeted us through the intercom. "Afternoon girls, come on in." He said as the elaborate, silver gates opened to let us through. We drove down the long drive in silence. I stared out my window looking at the willows that ran along both sides of the drive, creating a wall of beautiful trees.

We slowly pulled up to my house and I let out a sigh of relief, I shuffled out of the car as Kari and I said our goodbyes. I could drive myself to and from school since we had lots of cars but I rode the bus. I liked riding it because I sat with Luke and Celina, my two other very close friends. But the main reason I rode the bus was because I liked to keep my wealth a secret. My family had A LOT of money. And that was putting it lightly. My mother was one of the best selling designers and my dad was a CEO of a international entertainment company. The fact that I have a lot of money would attract attention and that's the LAST thing I want. So I kept a low profile by riding the bus and wearing regular, mediocre clothes despite my closet full of high priced, designer clothes. I saved those for the weekend.

I pulled my key out of my bag and unlocked our extravagant, crystal and glass door. I shuffled into the house as Gracie, our cook, and Martin, our butler, greeted me with hugs.

"I made brownies!" Gracie said as she pulled me into the kitchen and we sat at the island in the middle of our enormous kitchen. She eyed Martin carefully as I took a bite of the brownies.  Triple chocolate fudge toffee nut.  My absolute favorite.  She only made these on rare occasions.  Usually bad ones.

"What?"  I interrogated. I looked between Grace and Martin.  They both looked away guiltly and no one answered me.

"Well...." Martin started but was quickly interupted bythe door bell.

His eyes bulged and looked at the door.  I stood up quickly and raced Martin to the door but I got there first, i knew that what ever they were hiding was behind the door.

I opened the door as I cackled at Martins horrifyed expression.  I wasnt scared.  I mean what could be so bad? I thought to myself as I pulled the door open.  Then I realized what could be so bad.

He was standing at my door step and as our eyes met my heart stopped and my breathing hitched. He looked as shocked as I did for a second but his usual smirk reappeared on his face.

"Hey Princess."

It was him.

Aiden Ryder.
