My favorite part of everyday, was volleyball. It helped me get my mind off things to focus on the game. To pay attention & go as hard as i could. As a 16 year old girl, i always had so much on my mind & out of all the things most teens do to make them happy, mine was sports. As the setter set the ball high up into the air so i could hit it, i stepped from the 10ft line & spiked it straight down onto the other side.

"Nice Blue!" He said to me.

My name is Mckenzie Blue,& i'm 16 years old. Growing up near L.A. was the greatest thing that could have happened. This place offered so many opportunities for me & anyone else who decided to stop & stay. Just last year my parents got divorced. I completely understood the whole situation & i accepted it, unlike any normal teenage girl.

"Mckenzie! Pay attention!" Coach yelled to me.

"Yes, Coach Willis. Sorry.." I mumbled the last part.

Like i was saying, ever since the divorce things have actually went nicely & i go to visit my dad a few times a month. He lives in the middle of Los Angeles & its always fun to go down there & see who can spot a celebrity first. It was pretty funny actually, because you never who would win. So many celebrities, live there & stop there on tour.

"Alright! Get one up & were outta here!" Coach said. We all grabbed the volleyballs that had scattered around the gym & brought it in for a break.

"Team on 3!" I called.

"1, 2, 3 TEAM!" They all hollered raising there hands from the pack.

I wiped my hand across my forehead catching the sweat & i grabbed my bag. I started walking home by myself & my phone started to ring. I reached into my bag & answered it real quick.

"Hey!" I said.

"Hey babe.." He said through the phone.

My boyfriend Luke & i have been dating for about 5 months now & he was literally so amazing. My world & so much more. He was about 5"7 & had ashy blonde hair, tan skin & the most beautiful brown eyes.

"Luke, is everything alright?" I spoke.

"I think we need a break." He said clearly.

My heart nearly jumped out of chest & shattered right on the sidewalk in front of me. He doesn't mean what i think he means? Does he? I kept thinking to myself.

"What do you mean.." I said holding in the tears.

I was about to break down right here, right now.

"I'm breaking up with you Mckenzie, I'm sorry-" I couldn't find the right words to say. I just hung up & kept walking. Faster & faster trying to get home before publicly embarrassing myself in front of strangers. How could this happen? How could such a good day, change in such an instant. All i ever wanted, was Luke. And when i got him, i told myself never to give up on him.

But i guess i'm not the one who broke my promise. It was him.

I was so blind to not see this coming. He would always date someone for a long time,& then break up with them. Because if he even thought that some other girl would be able to make him happier, even just a little, he would go for her. And every girl, including me, was always too stupid enough to realize that he would never last.
