Baby Daddy Trouble Ch.9

I sighed as Jackie started crying again.

"Prince, your turn." I groaned.

"It was my turn last time." Prince mumbled.

"But I carried her for eight months." I retorted. He groaned and got up. He went over to the crib in my room and picked Jackie up. He rocked her and she fell back to sleep. She wanted to be held. Prince laid back down on my bed next to me.

Jackie and I were released from the hospital a day after she was born and Prince stayed behind to take care of me and Jackie. I didn't feel it then, but I'm in so much pain I can barely walk sometimes.

"How you feeling?" Prince whispered to me.

"Not so good. I really can't lay on my stomach or my back." I sighed.

"Come here." Prince told me. I slid over to him and placed my head in his chest while laying on my side. He rubbed my back and stomach in a soothing way. It didn't stop the pain, but it did make me fall asleep.

"Jackie, stop moving!" I shouted as I tried to suck the boogers out of her nose with the suck thing. She didn't like it and kept screaming and crying, trying to get away. It's been two months and Prince is gone. He left after the first month to go back to work with the group. I was left alone with Jackie.

"There. Was that so hard?" I asked her even though she couldn't respond.

I picked her up and went into the living room where Christan, Ma'Kayla, Joy, and Mom was.

"Are you okay?" Christan asked as I sat down.

"No. I really need his help." I answered truthfully.

"Maybe you should move out to L.A." Mom said.

"And leave all of you?" I said. "I can't leave you. Who would give me advice on things? Who would help me? How will I graduate from Karr?"

I can't believe my own mother wants to ship me and Jackie to L.A. Everything I know is here. Everyone I know and love is here. Well, everyone except Prince.

"Angel, you should go. You need to be where Prince is most of the time. Better yet, you should ask Teresa if you could move in with her." Joy said. I sighed as I pulled out my phone to call Prince.

"Hello?" He answered. He sounded so tired.

"Hey baby." I smiled.

"Oh. Hey mi ángel. I didn't even look at the caller ID, I'm so tired." He gave a small laugh.

"Look, Jacob, my mom came up with the idea that Jackie and I should move out to L.A. to be closer to you." I said bluntly, no beating around the bush.

"Wow. Really? That's great! I'll buy a small house for us, get the furniture, get a car--"

"Pause. Everyone things it would be best if I stayed with your mom. Where I can get advice and help." I said as I rocked Jackie in my arms.

"Of course. That's even better. I'll call Keisha and my mom. You start packing and send your bags out to L.A. I'll get on a plane to pick you up and we'll fly back to L.A together. I'll have everything set up when you get here." Prince said.

"Okay." I sighed.

"Don't worry. It'll be okay. I'll get you another tutor. We will ensure you're a Karr student and you'll graduate in 2017 with your class." Prince said, reading my mind like always.

"Okay." I placed a small smile on my face.

"Smile a bigger small. I know you. You only have a small smile on. I want a big smile." He said. I smiled a big small and he laughed.

"Happy?" I said with the smile on my face.

"Yup. I can hear the big smile on your face. I'll talk to you later, mi ángel." Prince said.

"Bye Prince." I sighed as I hung up. I have a lot of packing to do.
