An Unusual Meeting, An Unlikely Romance

Chapter 12: Goodbye...

((Noblesse's POV))

I shoved the letter into my pocket, which earned a glance from this timeline's Ciel.

"What was tha-"

"NOTHING. ITS NOTHING CIEL!!!" I panicked and nearly yelled, causing Luciela to snicker. I hide my face in my hands to hide my embarrassment.

"Haha, sure Lu. Suurree.... Anyways, why don't we do some karaoke for a bit?" Luciela suggested. Her Ciel promptly agreed and our Ciel shrugged in indifference, leaving me to be the deciding vote. I sighed and waved my hand dismissively. Luciela quickly got up and came back with my karaoke machine from my room.

"Lu? You and Ciel should sing this first!" She said, handing me a couple sheets of paper and then doing the same to Ciel. I glanced down at it, immediately recognizing the song. I glared at Luciela and she shrugged as she pet one of the phorus that had stayed around.

"It's an interesting song. I'll sing it if you would like to Lu." I heard Ciel say. Luciela smirked, knowing that Ciel had practically offered it and I couldn't/wouldn't deny it. After another quick glare, I turned to Ciel and smiled.

"Okay then." I said, slightly hesitant. Luciela smiled and turned it on, putting the CD in the machine. At first, I sang with hesitation, but as the song progressed, I started relaxing a bit and singing happily.

After the music ended, we heard clapping. I turned around and saw Aisha, smiling and clapping. It was at that moment that I realized Ciel and I had been dancing while we were singing. Although she didn't seem fazed by it, I knew she was kind of upset. I looked away slightly, hoping to avoid her gaze.

"Nice singing you two. Sadly, Luciela and Ciel won't be able to sing because I think I have that spell figured out." She said, summoning her staff. Luciela smiled.

"Okay then! I would love to go back home." She said with a slight giggle. She looked towards me and winked. "I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors Lu."

"As do I to you Luciela. It was a pleasure meeting you! Goodbye!"

"Is it truly goodbye if one is saying it to oneself?" We both laughed. Aisha smiled and concentrated on casting her spell. After a few seconds there was a blinding white light. When it dissipated, they were gone. I smiled slightly and started packing up. Apparently at some point, the letter had fallen from my pocket.

"Lu...? What's this letter?" Aisha said. When I turned around, she had it opened and was reading it. Ciel was looking over her shoulder reading it too. My eyes widened and I ran to grab the letter.

"ITS NOTHING!!!!" I yelled before running out of the house. I heard my name being called in panic, but I kept running. Running until I couldn't anymore. When I finally stopped. I realized that I was in the clearing where Ciel used to go to feed the phorus. I looked down at the letter.

I guess what I'm trying to say is....
Ciel? I love you....

I sighed and folded the letter, barely registering the footsteps I heard behind me. Next thing I knew, I was waking up in a dark room....
