((Lu's POV))

I was sparing with Karis when there was an explosion to my left. Karis looked in the general direction, so I did as well. As the dust from the wall settled, I got into a more defensive stance, seeing how there were two people standing in the new hole in the wall.

"Give Lu back to us, Karis," one of the figures said, stepping forward to reveal a male around the age of 28, although the unusual part was that he seemed to be partly demon. Karis laughed slightly.

"Well, well, well. Look who finally came. Luciela? This is your chance to prove yourself. Defeat them and we'll see if we can't end these boring sessions quicker," she stated while laughing. I looked at them and, although I knew I had to, I didn't want to fight them. I heard an impatient tap from Karis, and I closed my eyes, muttering slightly.

"Gomen ne...." I said before charging at the two figures. After that, I blacked out.

((Ciel's POV))

I wasn't sure how to feel when Lu didn't recognize us. I could tell that something told her that we weren't the ones to fight, but she couldn't keep from doing it either. I quickly dodged her attack before taking Aisha's staff from her as I saw her prepare an attack.

"Aisha, don't hurt her. We have to try to bring her to her senses without hurting her!" I told her before the two of us had to dodge an attack from Lu. I took a quick glance at her and noticed tears from her eyes. The site brought a memory up from when Lu and I had first met. That sparked an idea. I kept dodging Lu's attack, leading her towards Karis.

The longer this one-sided fight continued, the more Karis started to tap her foot in annoyance. Finally, at the edge of her patience, Karis growled and snapped.

"ENOUGH! This child's play is OVER!" A blinding red light flashed through the room, followed by a scream and a dull thud. Opening my eyes, I saw Aisha with her hands over her mouth, horror evident on her face. Looking down, I saw exactly why. Karis sat there with a shocked expression before it slowly faded into that of a smirk. She chuckled, but it didn't stay as a chuckle and steadily grew into a full hysterical laughter.
