A Summer Together

Chapter 4.

"Addison! Wakeup!" Emily yells in my ear as she shakes me to life. "Em shut up. I'm already awake" I say as I unbuckle the car seat and hop out. "Wait. where are we again?" I ask. " We are at the cabin house stupid" "Oh."

I look around and see a giant lake surrounded by hundreds of other cabins. In front of our cabin was a giant dock that had a small paddle boat with oars and life jackets in it. The I turned around to face the cabin. Wow.

It was really cute. The paneling on the outside was white. and the roofing was black. The door was dark black wood same with the shudders. The flower boxes were black with pink flowers. The house looked like it could hold a small family. But definetly not two.

"Hey dad? Where is your co-workers family going to stay?" My dad looked at me before he spoke. "I called him and he said it would be best if you and Em stayed here with his kids, and me your mother him and his wife will be staying just a coulple miles down the road at another lake house" Great. I get to spend my vacation with little kids. "Cool " me and Em said simultaneously. 

We took all of me and Em's thing out of the car witch was basically just 3 luggages. Then my dad and mom drove off to their house.

"Wanna go check out the inside? And then maybe we could do something later? " Em asked. "Yea sounds fun" I said with a grin. We lugged our stuff inside. And I let go of my stuff to look around.

The kitchen was off to the right it was right across from the living room which was on the left. Both were very modern with new appliences . The kitchen had marble counter tops and the living room had a book shelf with board games but no Tv. Straight ahead was a hallway that lead to the bathroom and the laundry room .Right next to the living room was the stair case and a hallway witch led to the bedrooms. There were two bed rooms one with two twin beds and one more with two more twin beds and a closet. All of them had light-green walls, White bed frames, and a one white dresser per bed. 

Em walked into the bedroom with two twin beds and a closet. She then popped her stuff down on the bed and started to unpack.

One hour later we were all settled down and making a grocery list on the kitchen counter. "Hm. What about nutella?" Em asked. "Ew. No I hate nutella " I said imidietly. Emilys eyes widened and her jaw dropped is shock. "I love nuttela " A manly voice said behind us making us both jump in surprise. I turned around to see a boy about our age standing in the door frame next to one other person The other boy looked about his age but with Blonde hair.

"Hello. My name is Noah and this is Issac. We assume your father works with ours?" He says while pointing to his brother "Yea. I'm Addison.but call me Adi. And this is Emily." "Call me Em" Emily says while blushing pink. Awh. does someone have a crush.

Noah had a very round face with pale skin and a freckled nose. His hair was dark brown and he seemed about a a half a foot taller then me. His brother Issac had more defined features like his sharp cheek bones. He had emerald green eyes and goldish blond hair,and he was about a foot taller than me.

They started to walk up stairs with their bags while me and Emily finished the grocery list which consisted of mostly BBQ types of foods, salad, bread, peaunt butter and jelly, marshmellow stuff, and the all important nutella.

"I think I'm going to go head out to the grocery store" Em says right as the two walks back down the stairs. "Okay, Ill come too!" Noah says from the living room. A small smile creeps on Emilys lips. "Okay" she says trying to hold back from blushing. Which was clearly not working. They both walk out the front door with the grocery list and smiles plastered on their faces. I waited untill I heard a car engine start. I assumed it was one of their cars that they were driving.

I turned to face Issac who some how ended up sitting across from where I stood at the breakfist bar. "So. Addison" "Adi" I corrected. "Right. Well Adi" he starts "What do you wanna do untill they get back?" I starred at him with a blank expression. "Hm. well I don't know what YOUR going to do but I'm going for a walk." I stated. "Fine. Ill come with you "he said with a giant smirk on his face. "Okay, But If you walk too slow don't think I'm going to wait for you"

After saying that I got up, and went upstairs to grab the flipflops I was wearing earlier this morning and tossed them on. Then I walked down stairs to find Issac waiting by the door. "Lets go!" He said. We walked down the dirt road for about 5 whole minutes in silence then I finally spoke." So. are you and your brother... twins?" "Yea. but I'm older..." "Nice... wait. you must live in the same town as me...because my dads office is the only one for miles...so...how come I haven't seen you in school?" I asked. "I do private schooling" he said cashually whole rubbing the back of his neck. Awesome. A snobby rich kid who can afford private schools. Can this week get any better?

He stopped and turned to face me. I also stopped and looked at him with curiosity. "I told you if you were slow I wouldn't wait for you" I said. He let out a quiet laugh and then looked at me. "About the private schools...I'm not the kid who's goes to it because I wanna show off... I'm nothing like that" he says with certainty. I nod and say "Hey. Um its getting kinda dark wanna head back?" "Yea lets go" he says. We both turn around and walk back to the cabin.

About 30 minutes later we arrive at the cabin and he opens the door for me. "Lady's first " he says. I can feel the blush start to form on my cheeks. Oh crap. I'm starting to turn in to Emily. I quickly hide it before we walk into the kitchen where Emily and Noah are unpacking the groceries. "Hey guys-" Issac starts but was cut off by his brother. "Where were you?!?" Noah shouts. "Me and Adi took a walk..Mom" he says with a devilish grin on his face. Noah rolls his eyes and grabs a box of Mac and cheese.

"Is this good for dinner?" He asks. Everyone nods. I sit down at the counter and Em sits to my right while Issac walks over and sits to my left. Noah starts to boil the water and turns around to face us.

"So. After breakfist tomorrow morning is everyone up for swimming in the lake?" Noah States. "Sounds fine to me. But I think I might end up being the one to make breakfist since I wake up early...so..what do you all want?" "WAFFLES!" Em, Noah, and Issac say at the same time. "Okay..." "Yeah... I sleep in to about 10" Em says "Same with me!" Noah says. "You guys are weird" Issac says. "Agreed" I say. After that Noah finished making the Mac and cheese and gave us each a bowl filled with the same amount. We all ate in silence untill Em got up and put her bowl in the sink then went outside. The whole time she was doing that Noah was watching her. He then followed in her footsteps after putting his bowl in the sink. Wow. This seems familiar Déjà vu much?

I walked over to the sink with my empty bowl and started to load the dishwasher. Issac cleared his throat and waited for me to look at him, then he pointed to his empty bowl. I glared at him and then asked "Would you like me take your bowl?" "Yes please " he said with a smile. I sighed, picked up his bowl and put It in the dishwasher. Then I washed my hands and turned to him. "Thank you." He said.

I gave him a grin and then went for the stairs. He caught my hand and fireworks were sent up my arm. I turned to him now playing with my hand. "Yes?" I asked. "I'm bored " he said with a small smile playing on his lips. I gave out a big sigh and looked around. "Hm. What do you want me to do about it?" He looked me in the eyes. "Help." I couldn't help but burst into laughter he stared at me with an amused look on his face. When I finally composed myself I looked him in the eyes and said "Good night Issac". He Instantly pulled me to him using the hand he was previously playing with untill his lips were an inch away from my ear and murmured "Good night Addison". I pulled away from his grasp around my hand. Gave him a small smile and went up stairs into bed.

 

Good night indeed Issac. A Goodnight Indeed.
