A Summer Together

Chapter 9.

The next 5 days were quite the snooze fest.

I havnt really seen Isaac in the last couple days ... though we would text each other late at night. Only because I've been to occupied with Emily.

Basically all that happened was Noah telling Em that he didnt live here and her being upset,and staying in her room for all 5 days, only coming out for showers and having me deliver her food. I of course being the best friend had to comfort her. Yippie. (Notice the sarcasm).

I took the empty tray with the dirty utensils into the hallway and closed the door behind me. I walked a few steps and the looked up to see Noah.

He now looked in worse shape as ever. Thick bags under his eyes, his hair was greasy and tasseled, even his clothes looked horrible. He took a glance at Em's and my room and then dodged into his own room.

I went down stairs and walked over to the kitchen. "How's Emily been?" Issac said from in front of me. "Great" I said sarcastically. I opened the dishwasher which was now separating us. He let out a low chuckle and helped me put the dishes away. I looked up at him and he looked up right at the same time. Our lips were only an inch apart. His breath was fanning my lips sending chills down my spine. "So" he whispered "I live near you" I laughed a bit and continued doing the dishes. He leaned over and whispered "So what'd you say?" "To what? " I whispered back. "To us" he murmured in my ear making me blush as red as a rose. "I say that your crazy and I barley know you" I stated after giving him a smirk. After that there was a couple seconds of silence on the sound of the dishes being put away. I then closed the dishwasher and he stepped close to me.

"You know.... many girls would die to be in the condition you are right now " "Ha" I said. I went to the fridge and grabbed an ice pop for Em's desert. I went upstairs and into her room.

You will never believe what I saw.
