The technological and fast paced twenty first century was full of production, education, crime, and children.
Fiore was a kingdom that was known for being safe from enemy attacks and for being crime-free.
The key word: was.
Once a female became in charge of war and capital punishment, the hidden evil in the world took this as a sign to run amok, underestimating the female's ability.
And as you know, you can't please everyone.
And there will always be more evil in the world, sadly, because where there is good, there must be evil.
The two coincide and balance each other out. But only one will prosper in the end.
Will it be good? Or evil?
"Master Margaret and Master Marcus, please do not run in the palace. I would be saddened if either of you two were to hurt yourselves." Those worried filled words came from the head butler of the kingdom's palace, Sebastian.
Sebastian is a slim man with pale skin. But that pale skin is soft, as are is red eyes and black hair.
He does have a presence about him. A presence that says "there will be order in this place" and that presence follows him wherever he goes.
"But Sebastian, mom's back!" Marcus exclaims. The seven year old boy has brown eyes that are glowing with excitement. In contrast to his red hair. His scarlet red hair. Those fiery red locks of his made him noticeable a mile away.
Likewise with his twin sister, Margaret. She shared all of Marcus's physical features, being identical twins and all.
The two became overjoyed once they heard the news that their mother had returned from overseas.
Now, they were on their way to greet her. Along with Sebastian of course.
"C'mon Sebastian, we have to hurry!" Margaret says, sprinting down the hall with her brother.
The butler accompanying them sighs. "If you insist."
With a knock on the door followed by the word "enter", Sebastian opens the door to the King's office.
But it's not just the King whom is present. The Queen is there as well.
"Mom!" Marcus shouts, dashing past the butler and towards his mother and attaching himself to her left leg.
"We missed you." Margaret informs and takes the other leg.
"I missed you guys too." The Queen smiles down at her offsprings.
"Welcome back, Your Highness. I'm glad you have returned to us safely." Sebastian greets the Queen, bowing as he does so.
"Thank you, Sebastian." She says in her usual authoritative voice. "I'll never get use to others bowing to me." She adds, laughing lightly at her statement.
"After ten years, you still haven't become accustomed to the royal life?" The King chuckles.
"Well, I wasn't always called 'Queen'. I used to be called just 'Erza'." She smiles as she reminisces. "Isn't that right, Jellal?"
"Indeed, it is." The blue haired King nods.
"You weren't a princess, Mom?" Margaret asks, looking up at Erza.
"Not in the beginning, but I was for a short time."
"You should tell us the story!" Marcus suggests, his eyes beaming with excitement.
"What story?" Erza asks, cocking her head to the side.
"The story of how you became a princess!"
"That's an interesting story." Jellal comments.
"I wanna hear! I wanna hear!" The twins exclaim in unison, jumping up and down.
"Alright, alright." Erza says. She gently shakes the two children off of her legs and moves backwards until she reaches the large red couch that is placed to the left of Jellal's desk.
The twins follow their mother and after she sits down, they sit on either side of her.
"Okay, are you two ready?" Erza says, smiling at the anticipation in her children's eyes.
"Yes!" They answer in unsion, once again.
"Come sit with us, Sebastian."
"Yes, ma'am." The butler obediently does as he is told, sitting to her right next to Margaret.
"Alright," Erza begins, her mind already recalling the memories. "this is the story of how I went from 'Erza' to 'Princess Erza'."
