Wake Up--Part 3

Riley's POV


"Uh...actually I..."


In those mere seconds I had to reply I had made the smart decision and contacted Dylan through the pack bond.

'Dylan! Dylan! Dylan!' I yelled to him in his head.

'What!'

Out of the corner of my eye I could see him jump a little almost dropping his plate of food before he caught it with both hands.

'Yell my name to get me away. Quickly!'

He didn't need to be told twice as I heard his voice.

"Hey Riley! Come here!" Dylan yelled. I turned around to see Dylan waving his hand to get me to come over.

I spun around back to the girls as I sighed putting my hand up before I let it drop back down. "Well, Dylan needs me so we can continue this another time. Bye guys!" I said still acting as if I didn't know what was going on.

"Bye!" They shouted at the same time as I got up fixing my skirt before walking over to Dylan.

"What up D-Man!" I grinned holding up my hand for a high-five.

He had sighed before grabbing my arm and dragging me over to the trees, away from the guys and the girls.

He dropped my arm turning around to face me. "Care to explain why you almost caused my head to explode." He said crossing his arms making him more intimidating.

"Now Dylan, you know that can't happen in real life " I said sarcastically trying to avoid the question.

Out I the corner of my eye I could see Alex looking towards me while talking to Eric. As soon as our eyes met I took in a deep breath before looking down and turning back Dylan, but I could still feel his damn eyes on me.

Damn him.


Damn him and his perfect eyes.


"Riley. Riley. Riley!" Dylan said his voice getting louder every time he said my name. I turned back to him to see him rolled his eyes at me.


"Geez. Did you hear a word I said"

"Nope" I didn't deny knowing he would quiz me on what he had said.

He sighed before talking again "Im gonna ask this again, why did you scream and ask me to do that?"

"Kate asked if I had found my mate and I didn't want to lie and say no" I said scratching my forehead with my index finger.

Dylan had looked at me with narrowed eyes before opening his mouth and closing it again deciding not to speak. He repeated this again before putting his hands together in the praying kind of way and pointed them towards me.


"Ok now Riley. You always lie so I'm a little confused why you didn't this time?" He was looking at me like I was retarded and I narrowed my eyes at him a little.

"There is a good reason for that, when me and Alex were talking he said that he would want to tell the pack that he had a mate an he might tell him who. I was okay with that. And Kate would end up finding out soon. For god sake she is Derek's mate. And I would feel bad if she found out I lied. Therefore I had you get me out of the situation." I smiled sweetly flashing all my teeth before hearing what Dylan had to say.


"First off, that smile is what nightmares are made off. And second off when do you ever feel bad?" He said jokingly grinning down at me with both hands on his hips.

I pushed his chest and could help but smile a little. "Shut up"


He held his hands up in defense, taking a small step back and rubbing his chest acting like I hurt him. "Alight, alright. I get it no need to get so violent."

I scoffed, rolling my eyes at his stupid behavior and crossing my arms. "It's not like I hurt you, get over it."

He opened his mouth and looked at me with wide eyes. "We'll that was just rude!" He said exaggerating the word 'Rude'.


I couldn't help but laugh at his weirdness. "C'mon weirdo, lets go tan." I said grabbing his arm and dragging him towards the pool. He didn't argue with me since he actually had been wanting to tan. He claimed that ever since leaving Australia, he had lost his 'Beautiful, glow' which basically he meant as his tan, I tried to tell him he still had his tan but he wouldn't listen.

Nobody was at the pool and they were all off doing their own things. "Alex will be watching you. " Dylan's voice broke me out of my thoughts as I turned towards him to see him taking off his shirt and sitting down on one of the lounge chair things.


"Yeah whatever. It's not his fault I have an amazing body." I said jokingly taking off my shoes and pulling off of my skirt.

I reached around, to my back and unzipped my bralet and slid it off. I reached over to put all my clothes at the end of the tanning chair thing before I heard a deep growl that had my entire body stiffen up.

Straightening up I licked my lips before biting my lip out of habit.

I slowly turned my head around and looked straight at Alex. The guys around had been hitting his shoulder and such in attempt to get him to concentrate on them but his very dark, lustful eyes were on me and they weren't moving anytime soon.


I don't know why but it was like I couldn't look away from him. No matter how hard I tried to look away I couldn't. And it kind of scared me.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Derek and Mark finally following Alex's eyes as they both looked over at me and realized what was going. Then, Matt and Eric looked over at Derek and Mark and followed their eyes which lead to me. They both looked between me and Alex several times before Matt spoke up.

"No...fucking way" He said slowly as he stood up and pointed and accusing finger at Alex.


"Riley is your fucking ma-"


It happened so fast I didn't even have time to realize what happened.


Mark had stood up and ran at Matt tackling him football style as he decked him bringing them both down before Matt could finish his sentence.


My eyes widened as I stifled a laugh putting my hand to my mouth as I watched the guys.

Derek and Eric had there eyes wide like me but they both had their hands up in surrender which didn't even make sense and they also had their mouths open.


But soon enough Eric realized what Matt had and his eyes widened even mouth before he looked at Alex probably talking in their heads.

I looked down towards the ground where Matt was currently pushing Mark off of him and stood up angrily. "Dude! What the hell was that for!"

Mark sighed before pointing to his head silently telling Matt to talk in their heads. A couple minutes had gone by before Matt oh'ed silently and a sheepish look crossed his face and he turned back Alex who did in fact look very angry.


And hot...

I shook my head deciding to not pay attention to the guys any more and I turned back to Dylan who has his eyes closed and had his headphones plugged in as he listened to music.


Laying down I quickly reached into the inside pocket of my skirt bringing out my iPhone and plugging in my music and put on my 'Tanning' playlist before shutting my eyes and leaning back. Now I could no longer hear the shouts of the many adults, teens and kids.

Volume up. Ignore the World.

"Riley. Riley. Riley!" Dylan's voice snapped me out of my music state as I pulled out the earphones.


"Yes..." I trailed off raising both of my eyebrows.


"I want to go swimming and your coming. Other people are swimming to." Hearing that there were other people in the pool I saw Alex, Eric, Matt, Mark, Derek and Kate all swimming.

My eyes stayed on Alex a little more then they should have. He had just gotten out of the pool, pushed his hair to the side before going to the diving board and doing a front flip in.


It was like in the movies when the hot guy comes out of the water in slow motion.


"Alright since your not paying attention...." I heard Dylan say to himself but I didn't pay attention. My eyes were still on Alex as he swam.

Suddenly I was on someone's shoulder and we were headed towards the water.

"Dylan! What the hell!" I yelled as I thrashed around on his shoulders.

"You were paying to much attention to lover boy so I took matters into my own hand." When he had mentioned I was staring at Alex a blush crept up my neck which pissed me off cause I never blush.

"I was not." I muttered stubbornly knowing he might tease me about it.

"Well that doesn't matter now" He said.

My face turned into a mask of confusion as he said that. "Wha-" I began to say but I was cut off when I went under water. I stayed under for a second before I pushed my self back up.


"Are you kidding me Dylan! I could have just gotten in by my self you didn't have to push me in here." I glared up at him as he just grinned down at me before jumping in over me and swimming away.


I sighed as I went under water and swam around seeing how long I could hold my breath.

A little over a minute passed by before I sprang back up taking in a deep breath of air. I ran my hands over my hair pushing it all back before I turned around only to be met with familiar green eyes.


"Alex" I breathed out putting my hand to my chest over my heart as it beated loudly.

He brought up his hand scratching the back if his neck awkwardly "Hey. Uh I don't know if you already know but Matt and Eric found out."

"Yeah I already know I saw the entire thing but its ok. People are bound to find out sometime. But thank you for telling me." I said shrugging and giving him a thankful smile.

His face lost the nervous look before looked down at me smirking. "There's not many things someone can keep from their mate." I smirked back before shaking my head before swimming away.


It was only us 8 swimming until we all decided it was best to get out. The boys all went to go et hotdogs while me and Kate sat by the pool, dressed eating salad and some fruit.


"So you and Derek huh?" I said showing some lettuce into my mouth before looking over at a blushing Kate.

"Yeah. I never thought I'd find my mate. It's a great feeling. But uh, you and Alex huh?" She asked grinning while she shoved salad into her mouth.


My eyes widening I looked at get in shock. "How did you find out?" I exclaimed.

She shook her head silently laughing as she began to speak "That conversation in the pool, I think you forgot about wear wolf hearing?" She tapped her ear before returning to her salad.


"Of course I did." I muttered under my breath as I picked away at the salad.

I tiled my head taking a glance at Alex to see him laughing carelessly as he talked to all the guys.

Maybe my life won't be so bad anymore.

A/N: Guys, you have no idea how sorry I am. My summer need and then school came and I got busy and then I had to read a book for school it's been crazy. I am so so sorry! Its ok if your mad because honestly I'm pissed at myself for taking so long. Yet again I'm soo sorry!
