Chapter 5: flashbacks

10th century

"no peeking love."

"Elijah! you know how I hate surprises!"

"Ok open."

a field filled with wild flowers and fruit trees of different sorts except a huge oak tree with its beautiful lavender flowers that always grow near it.

"Oh Elijah! its so beautiful here."

" and its all ours love." I turn and smile at him before taking off running into the field of wild flowers without a care in the world just as long as he was at my side. I told Elijah everything including my fatherless child and my disappointed parents back home and he still loves me and as do I but... I may love Niklaus but it's not the same as I'm with Elijah... and if I break Nik's heart, he may shun me forever or understand and let Elijah and I have a family of our own and grow old together.

"what are you thinking about?"

"you. life." I didn't want to ruin the moment bringing up Niklaus.

" Tatia you know I will always love you."

"as will I Elijah. I shall always love you forever and ever"

as I was sitting in his lap leaning against his chest looking up at the night sky and realizing. .. tonight's a full moon.

I gasped. Elijah grabbed my shoulders turning me to look at me.

"what is it."

"Elijah tonight's a full moon !"

he grabbed my wrist and started running as fast as he could. I tripped a few times but managed to keep up. we heard howling in the distance and ran into his families hidden cave where everyone else was. everyone but Henrik and Niklaus. his mother cried every time we heard a blood curdling scream thinking it would be one of her boys.

Elijah held onto me and never let me go as I feel asleep in his arms.

the next morning... Niklaus came running home with a mauled barely recognizable Henrik with blood covering his whole body and Klaus with Henriks blood on his clothes.

"we just wanted to see the men shift into wolves and Henrik slipped from the tree... mother I'm so sorry."

I left once I saw mikael (their dad) come out of the house angry as hell.

I found Niklaus in the cave leaning against his forearm face to one of the walls.

" go away" but I kept walking towards him not afraid if him.

" I said go Tatia!." I stopped in my tracks but kept walking to him. in an instead he pushed me against the wall with both hands on the wall next to my face. I moved my face to look away as he inched his face into my ear whispering harshly...

" I said go away." I turn my head to look at him and reply with a simple... "no." he lifts his hand and and slaps the wall making me flinch.

"Niklaus please I came here to comfort you please. " I look at him with so much concern. he grabs my face with his huge hands and look at me with such wonder.

"why do I love you so much?"

"y-you love me?"

"yes. always and forever. "

"we need to talk. meet me here . tonight? "

"sure love." he kissed me and left.

I lived with Ayana. one of the witches in the village. she was Esther's mentor and was one of the most powerful witch known. she told me how Esther had asked her to do an un-natural thing by making her family immortal so that they may live forever together and never die. Ayana said no and warned her not to do it but that she wasn't going to listen anyway. She over heard Esther talking to Mikael about killing me so that their family could start a new and use my blood to bind them together.

"Ayana! I don't want to die isn't their something you could do?" And she did. She bound me to them so when they killed me I would become whatever it is they became.

*THE DAY i DIED*

Ayana told me to act as if nothing were happening.

"Hello Tatia."

"Hello Mikael, hello Esther. I'm sorry about what happened to Henrik."

"I bet you are." I back up and bump into mikael. I gasp and he stuffed a cloth into my mouth and tied another clotharound my moutht o secure it. All while he is doing this I'm screaming and yelling Elijahs name the whole time.

They take me into their house where all their children are knocked out and look to see Eliah's ok. They tied me to a chair and I kept struggiling the whole time.

"If you wake them I swear you will die slowly and painfully you hear me?" Mikael said looking me in the eyes as Esther is meditating and getting everything prepaired to kill and drain my blood from me.

They did it so painfully I made sure I wouldn't scream since I didn't want Elijah to see me die like this.

I died a slow painful death as they drained me of all of my blood. 

Ayan told me not to go looking for them and to go the other way.

my petrova line continued and bore Katelina and sadly she followed in my footsteps and had a fatherless baby, was basically disowned by her. I followed her and watched her from a far. she even found the mikaelson brothers and was dazzled by their charm. well you know her. only thinks for herself and later in the 1860s found her new pets (salvatore brothers) and left them yada yada yada.

but Elena, she reminds of myself except she's so naive and stupid but very beautiful. I hope I get the chance to know her after all we are family.
