Dick was quiet as he lead Wally though the train car that had the beds. The only free one was in his own room.
"I sleep on the bottom bunk but if you want it then you can sleep there." Dick said gently. "Do you have any bags?"
"I do not." Wally said, plopping down on the bottom bunk.
"You don't have anything?"
"Nope." He grinned toothily. He had a tooth missing but it looked like it was busted out, not lost like a baby tooth.
"Didn't you run from home? You didn't have anything?"
"Not that I wanted to bring."
"Well, you'll get stuff here you'll want to keep." Dick smiled.
"My name is Wally. Wally West." He grinned and reached out a hand.
"Dick Grayson." He shook his hand. "My performance name is Danger Dan. You'll get one soon."
"A what? A name?"
"Yeah, everyone's got one-"

Dick was cut off when Jack opened the door. He smiled up at him obediently.
"Dick, darling, when you have a moment I'd like to bond with you."
"I can go now, sir."
"Then come along."
Dick waved bye to Wally and followed Jack down the hall to his office.
Jack pushed him in the door roughly. "Did you behave today?" He snapped at him.
"Yes sir, I did."
"I don't believe you. Show me your naughty hands."
Dick put out his hands. Jack snatched them and smelt them before roughly releasing them.
He smacked the kid across the face.
He fell to the ground and held his face, curling up tightly into himself.
Jack grasped his short black hair, pulling him up to look at him.
"You touched yourself. You disgusting little pig." Jack spat.
"I didn't. I didn't. I was good and I watched the show. I was good!" He defended.
He slapped him again. "Don't back talk me."
"I didn't, I... I'm sorry Sir."
"Liar."

For an hour he beat the child senselessly, making him bleed and cry.

"Was it worth it to touch yourself? Whore. Go to bed." He kicked him out, Dick went to the bathroom and cleaned himself up first. He whispered apologies over and over although no one could hear him. He fixed his hair and washed his face before going back to bed.
Wally was on the bunk bed still, reading a book that Dick had read and re-read over twenty times over. Dick shakily pulled off his leotard to get in his pajamas.
"Are you okay?" Wally asked, looking up at him.
"Great, why?" He asked cheerfully.
"You're shaking."
"Just cold."
"And you're beat up."
Dick stayed quiet and got his pajamas on.
"Is someone beating you up?"
"No." He said flatly and climbed into bed.
"Okay... You sure? You can tell me about."
"If I do, you can't tell anyone. Ever."
"I promise."
Dick climbed down onto the bed with Wally.
"Jack does it. He's really mean sometimes, he can be nice too, but he treats me like a pet."
"Dick. He's abusing you."
