"Listen up, i want DNA tests on each and everything one of these bodies!" Rosetta ordered, acting as if the tears were nothing. She clearly was confused herself, she gave out a simple smile, masking out the pain that she was feeling by now. Valentino was confused himself, he stood up slowly and dusted off his trousers.
His head was still spinning, the heart ache he felt was terrible. He was nothing by now. On the verge of being alive and being dead. But he was still human, right? He could still feel pain, he could still feel human emotions but why cant anyone see him? The idea made his head spin, he rubbed his eyes with the bottom of his palm and began to take deep, sharp breaths. Sure, it was terrifying. One minute you think you're dead, the next you managed to walk around like a human, as if nothing happened.
His eyes watered again, clutching hold of his hands he almost felt anger build up inside of him. It was her fault. All of it. He could've been alive now. He could've been human. She did it all. She ruined everything. Valentino carried on talking sharp breaths, running his fingers through his hair and he soon stood up. He could still remember his past life, his friends..everything trivial but for some reason he felt like everything was empty by now. He had nothing to do. He was dead anyway, well...physically.
Valentino didn't always have the best childhood. In the slums of Italy, most would discard you as trash. He got into stealing, fighting, guns and gangs even though he doesn't fit the personality of a gang leader. When he was 18, he had his own mafia. He was mostly calm and collected, his physical appearance attracted many people to his company. He was 6'3, tanned and had ear piercing. His best feature was his green eyes, they almost looked hypnotising in a way.
Valentino wasn't proud of his past, he changed it all now..well, he changed it all then. He wasn't living anymore. "Bring the body here.." The physician ordered. How scary, you don't even get called by your real name when you die..you just become a body. Nothing more. Valentino soon realised something, The female almost looked familiar. It was like she knew him at the start anyway..
Valentino stood up, he walked closer to Rosetta, she couldn't see him so it would he fine but for some reason she stepped back..as if she could feel something in her way. Valentino was confused at her sudden actions, he knew that no body could see him or hear him then why did she step back? He moved to the side and Rosetta began to walk forward. When he stepped in her way, she moved back once more.
Why was she moving back? Why did she cry when he cried? He placed his hand against her hand and she immediately swatted it away, flinching from him. The group of doctors and policemen were almost confused at this sort of behaviour. "Miss Velric, are you alright? You seem quite stressed.." Her co-worker suggested, almost sounding concerned but it was clearly fake sympathy.
"No, i'm fine. Carry on with your work." Rosetta replied, her eyes still looked dull, she clearly tried hard to cover up her few mistakes and laughed nervously. Almost determined to keep hold of her title. She looked familiar, like he saw her in his childhood but the most confusing question is. Why was she the only person to react to Valentino?
