"Alright everyone..we'll continue the search for evidence tomorrow. Get packed up and get some rest. We'll be here at 5:00am.." A person called out, packing her suitcase and looking at the dead bodies which were taken in ambulances. Rosetta was still behind the museum, her eyes red and swollen from all the crying she had been doing. She looked like she was in pain, a lot of it. She felt mentally and physically tired, She was a killer.
When was there any sympathy for killers?
She managed to stand up slowly, nearly toppling over because of her black heels. She dusted off her beige skirt, fixing her black shirt and she took a deep breath. Her blue eyes were tired from crying now. As if no tears would come out anymore. She just wiped her face and walked slowly. Forcing herself to smile, laugh even. She tried to mask her pain again, tried to forget about it. It was hard, even Valentino could see that. He could see the guilt in her eyes, but also...
A sense of innocence.
Valentino just followed behind her, watching as she got to her cab and as the cab driver opened the door for her, he sat down first. She flinched again, looking at her shaking hands but she smiled and sat down, closing the door after her. "T-the usual p-place.." She muttered "Please.." She added on, giving a faint smile. Her eyes narrowed, clenching her teeth together. Valentino crossed his arms and just kept his eyes on her.
Rosetta shivered, laughing nervously. "Everything alright Miss? You seem to be quite agitated.." The cab driver asked, smiling with a laced expression of sympathy, obviously it was fake. You could hear the apathy in his voice. Tailed with venom. Almost sickening. "Y-yes i'm fine. On second thoughts..i-i'll just walk to my house, would you mind stopping here?.." She asked, flashing a quick, short smile. The cab driver raised his pierced eyebrow, tilting his head at the sudden question.
"Who the fuck said i'm taking you home?" He muttered back, Valentino's eyes widened at his reply and he looked around the car. She wasn't allowed to die. Not yet, he still didn't get any answers to his questions.
Wait, if they're connected and she dies too..what happens to Valentino? Will he die again? Feel the agony again?
Rosetta's eyes widened, she immediately placed her hands on the door handle, shaking it. Trying to get the door to open. All she could hear was the ringing in her ears, she was already exhausted from crying but she carried on. Slamming the door, kicking it, anything really. Her eyes were burning with tears by now.
Valentino couldn't do anything by now, he could hold things like a real human but he wasn't sure what to do. He just froze. Just like in the museum.
He was a coward at heart.
Valentino would always need a plan before launching into action. Sure, in Italy it was much easier he had men everywhere but now he was on his own. Worst still, he dead. "Shit shit shit shit shit!" He yelled, banging onto the car himself.
Rosetta's eyes widened as the sound of the windows being banged. She could see the faint lines of the window move, like someone was trying to break it, but there wasn't anyone there.
Her heartbeat increased. She was going mental. She was going insane. Those 6 people she killed. They were coming to haunt her. It's all over. Everything. It's gone.
She carried on trying to push the car door open. Rosetta looked back at the window and for a split second she could see a human body there, banging on the window. It had the same stained shirt and the body she saw when she was at the museum.
It was Valentino.
Rosetta took a deep breath in and just started screaming, she saw the dead boy she shot. She saw him. His black hair, his white shirt. Oh god. She really was going insane. The can drivers eyes widened, letting go of the wheel to shelter his ears. He couldn't help it.
Rosetta soon regained her sanity, she managed to take off the lock when the can driver wasn't concentrating, slamming the door open and she took off her heels, running barefoot away from the driver.
Seconds later, the cab driver reacted but he was too late. He was smashed against a tree.
Valentino managed to walk out the car and he took a deep breath, sighing heavily. He began following the running female. He almost got used to the idea of a dead person by now, well..it takes one to know one.
