The next morning, in which I did not fall back asleep that night so I ended up getting 3 hours of sleep. I packed everything in my backpack and changed into a white tank top, black sweatshirt and some dark blue jeans. I put my hair in my ponytail, and went to the bathroom to put my contacts in. Grabbing my case, I spun the left one open and fear came over me like a slap to the face. It was gone. I quickly opened the right to see that one was gone too. "Mom?" I yelled out, becoming very distressed. "Yes Sarie?" She asked, poking her head in the doorway. I turned to her, "Where are my contacts?" I asked her. "Oh those, we had to take them out when you were unconscious, I guess we just forgot them." She replied breezily.
"What?" I said loudly, "Mom I need those!" "No you don't Sarie you're perfectly fine without them. There's nothing wrong with two different colored eyes, besides you look beautiful with or without them." She exclaimed before leaving to get ready once more. I huffed and looked at myself in the mirror. Only fate can decide what happens today, I thought to myself as I left the bathroom and went downstairs. "What to eat Sarie?" My dad asked, his back to me as his front faced the stove. "No time, I'm boarding to school." I replied, taking Avery's spoon and taking a bite of his cereal as he grinned at me and I winked at him. "I better be off" I said, taking one more bite before Avery slapped my hand away and I laughed, walking out of the kitchen. "I'll be back later!" I called out before slipping on my Vans and going into the garage to grab my skateboard. Opening the garage door, I set my board down on the sidewalk leading to school and looked up. Putting one foot on my board, the other pushed forward and I was off. Skateboarding is an amazing thing, honestly. Every time I skateboard, it feels so familiar....Like I'm flying. Who am I kidding I just like it.
I got to school around 15 minutes later. Grabbing my skateboard, I pulled open the door to be hear the loud noises of the morning hallway of a high school. I kept my eyes on the ground as I weaved my way through everyone around me. Reaching my locker quickly, I opened it, putting my skateboard in and locking it. Searching through my backpack for my phone, I felt someone bump into me, making me drop the papers I was holding. "I'm sorry, let me help you with that." A voice said, sounding familiar. I looked up into green eyes piercing into mine. It's him. The boy from my dreams....Never thought I'd say that one.
He grabbed my stuff in record time, standing with me and handing it to me. I stared at him, my eyes wide and unblinking. "Who are you?" I whispered. He stepped closer so his breath fanned my face, staring down at me. "I'm Michael. And you?" He whispered back. Something told me that wasn't his name... "I think you already know." I answered. He smirked before turning swiftly on his heel and walking away, disappearing into the crowd. I stared at the spot where I last saw him. It must've been a while because the warning bell rang, making me jump. I quickly grabbed my bag, stuffing the papers into it, forgetting about my phone and making a run for my class. Sitting down quickly, the bell rang and I let out a breath. I looked up just as our teacher, Mr. Alexon, stood from his chair. "Good morning class." He said with a smile and a couple coursed a morning back, others just grumbled. "We have a new student joining our class today." Mr. Alexon continued. wait...is it....? "Hi, I'm Michael. I just transferred here from California." yep. it's him. A couple girls around me swooned and I rolled my eyes lightly, continuing to scribble on my notebook, refusing to look up to face 'Michael'. I still don't think that's his real name.
Class continued on once Michael sat down, which was a few rows away from me. I couldn't seem to concentrate as my head started too hurt. It started as just a little pinch in the back of my head but it gradually grew worse as of now it felt like I could feel my heartbeat everywhere around my head. In every nook and cranny. I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to ignore it and continue working on the packet but it just wouldn't go away. Well I definitely wasn't going to get anything done in this state. I silently packed my stuff in my bag before standing, putting my bag over my shoulder. I felt gazes on me as I walked to the front of the room to Mr. Alexon's desk. "Mr. Alexon?" I asked quietly and he looked up at me. "What can I do for you Sariel?" He asked kindly. "May I please have a pass to the nurse? I really don't feel good." I asked, not letting my voice get any louder because it hurt to speak all together. He nodded, pulling one of his drawers open and grabbing a slip and filling it out before handing it to me. "Feel better." He said as I left the room.
I didn't go to the nurse. Heck, I didn't go anywhere except to the doors that led me out of the school. I stopped at my locker, grabbing my skateboard but not planning on using it, not wanting to get in another crash. Just as I turned around the corner, out of sight from the school, I felt a hand grab my wrist and I jumped my self defense classes kicking in as I twist the persons wrist quickly, moving myself around to see who it was only to see.....Michael. I stared at him confused. "What are you doing? Shouldn't you be in class?" I asked him, letting his wrist go and he rubbed it lightly. "I came to see if you were okay. You didn't seem to good when you left." He replied, dropping his arms to his sides. "I'm fine." I said with clenched teeth, my head getting worse by the second. He stared at me, unconvinced. "Uh huh. Totally okay." he smirked lightly and I just rolled my eyes, regretting it immediately and turning on my heel. "Go back to class. I'll be fine. Besides, you know nothing about me." I said, ignoring the fact he looked exactly like the guy from my dreams. I started walking once more.
Glancing behind me I saw him following me. "Why are you following me?" I asked, finding it a little weird I wasn't weirded out and was actually kind of comfortable around him. "I'm worried about you." He replied with a shrug and my brows furrowed. I opened my mouth to say we just met but nothing came. He watched me with a smirk and a raised brow. I closed my mouth, huffing under my breath as I continued walking. Hearing footsteps, I glanced behind me to see Michael following me aimlessly. He looked so peaceful, his eyes closed as his head tilted up to catch the sun rays on his face, I couldn't help but stare. A smile rose on his face, eyes still closed as he opened his mouth to talk, "I can feel you looking at me." His smile turned into a smirk. A small blush rose on my face as I looked away and back to the sidewalk.
I stopped in front of my house and turned to face Michael to see him watching me. A small blush rose but I quickly hid it by turning away towards my house once more. "I'm here are you done following me now?" I asked and he chuckled. I heard footsteps and a hand slide lightly down my arm before reaching my hand and intertwining our fingers. I glanced at Michael, surprised at myself for not pulling away. In fact, I squeezed his hand slightly. "You remind me of someone..." I mumbled, staring into his familiar green eyes. He quirked a brow, a smirk rising on his face. "I do?" He asked, less surprised and more hopeful but it wasn't very noticeable. I nodded and his smirk widened slightly. He squeezed my hand before pulling away and thats when I noticed how close our faces were and I blushed slightly. Clearing my throat, I pulled my hand away and walked up to my door and unlocking it.
"Wanna come in?"
