25 minutes later
Kate's POV
Erin and I walk into the hospital. "Where is Detective Jay Halstead" "Room 425" the nurse at the nurses station says. We head over to the room. I see Jay gently, slowly and carefully helping Natalie treat Lily's gun shot wounds. "I never knew he was good with little little kids" Erin says "knock knock" I say walking into the room. "No go away" "Voight wants Lily at the district in protective custody as soon as possible" Erin says "no they will kill me" who will Lily" "those those" lily says as she starts to cry.
Jays POV
Lily's crying so I pick her up and walk out with Erin and Kate to check her out. I sign her out around five thirty. We walk out and Kate pulls the car around. Erin rides shotgun and I sit in the back on the passenger side. Lily lays her head down on my arm so I put my arm around her. "Everything is going to be okay, everything is going to be okay"
10 minutes later
"We're here" Erin says opening the door for lily as I get out on my side of the car. Lily walks over to me and grabs ahold of my hand. "Let's go but I'm not talking to anyone without you" Lily says looking up at me.
