Friendly Advice

     I'm sleeping soundly in bed with my cat Loki when my phone goes off, playing Lecher Bitch of course. Sighing I try to find it only to have my glass of water, my pills and my alarm clock fall on the floor, "are you kidding me!?" I mumble, finally I open my eyes and answer it "WHAT?" I yell at whoever called me.
"Well good morning to you too," I can almost see her smug smile.
"I was sleeping..."
"Sorry, I just wanted to know if you were busy tonight?"
"No, class was canceled so I'm good."
"Great! I'll be over at say 10?" She asks excitedly.
"Wait for just a second, you haven't called or texted me in weeks, and now you want to hang out? What makes you think I'm not pissed at you?"
She sighs "I'm sorry Nat... I just..."
"Just what?" I ask trying not to be too mean.
"I was busy, I'm really sorry," she didn't sound sure of her answer.
"I get it, and sorry for acting like a bitch,"
"You can't help it, it's who you are," she laughs.
"I hate you."
"I love you too, see you tonight."
"Bye," I hang up and start getting dressed.

     Once I'm dressed I get a call from Nines, "hollo" I sing.
He laughs, "hey," he says in that sexy, deep voice (stop Nat!).
"What can I do for you Mr. Muscles?"
"Well, I- wait what did you call me?"
"Mr. Muscles, I'm sorry I thought it would be funny," I start to panic.
"No, it is, you just caught me off guard that's all," I sigh in relief, "hmm I need to think of something for you now. Give me some time."
"Whatever you say, anyway did you want something?"
"I just wanted to warn you about that guy at the bar last night," warn me?. "He's... look he's dangerous, whatever you do don't let him get you alone."
"Do you know him? It seems like you do."
He sighs, "yea I do, but that doesn't matter, just be careful. Please."
"I don't understand, but okay. I will."
"Good. Well, I'll call you later or something, if that's okay?"
"Okay, that's fine. Goodbye," we both hang up. "What should I do?" I look at my desk by the window, "homework? Na," I sigh and sit down on my couch and watch TV with my cat.

After a few hours there's a knock at my door I look through the eye hole and see...

I sigh "Haha, very funny Dez," I open the door and she's smiling like an idiot.
"I thought it was fucking hilarious," she walks in, "oh my god!" She picks Loki up, "look at you hon, your so...so"
"Fat" I smile.
"Yes and you wear it well," he purrs in her arms.
"So..." I say sitting on the couch, Dez sits next to me, "why the sudden visit?" I ask.
"I'm sorry I've been busy," she sighs, she can tell I'm not buying it. We've known each other for years she's like the sister I never had, I can tell when she lies. "Look I WILL explain... just not now, it's hard to explain."
"Fine," I smile, "it's good to see you."
"You too," and it's at the moment I notice her teeth (fangs?).
"Um... did you get those put in your mouth permanently?" I ask unsure.
Her eyes go wide, "Um... Yeah, yeah," she looks nervous.
"Is that the new thing? Cuz I just met two guys that have those too," I shake my head, "if it is I am NOT doing it!"

She laughs, "Why not? You'll be even cooler looking."
"You mean to have more people look at me like I have the plague? No thanks," I scoff. She laughs but goes quiet, "hey, what's wrong?"
"I hate to ask you this but do you still have the bed in the extra room?"
"Why? Are you asking to stay here?" She nods, "but what about that girl you were dating?"
"We are on a break," again I don't buy it but what can I do?
"Okay, just remember the rules," she smiles.
"No one in the apartment, no sleeping with people in the apartment, don't leave the door open, don't leave food or full cups out, and make sure the cat doesn't get out."
I nod, "now I am going to bed," I say hugging her, "do you need PJs?"
"No, I'm okay."

"Okay, I love you. Goodnight."

"Night, I love you too."

Dez's POV

I call Nines once I am sure Nat is in bed. 

"Hey, I've asked to move in and she's okay with it so I will be here until you figure out how to deal with Jason," I say quickly into the phone.

"Okay, thank you. You have no idea what this means to me. Just keep an eye on her and I will get this all straightened out."

"It's not a problem, you know I love her and don't want anything to happen. I'd watch her even if you weren't my friend," I say smiling, happy that I finally get to be around Nat. 

"Okay, well just thank you again. Night." I hang up the phone and go to look at my new room.
