I walked in seeing everyone stare at me. Looks on their faces asking what the hell I was doing. To be honest, I had been trying to find someone. But it was too crowded, I was shoving through people trying to find him. It was destined. I had to. He would soon be in danger. I could read everyone's faces as I pushed through. He's gone, they took him, stop searching. The thoughts were being pushed into my head, they were tricking me. But I know I'll find him.

I start getting another feeling, a sense that's he near. I can feel his emotions running through as if your being chased. He's scared. I can feel where he's at, he's near blood, it's sketchy. He wants out, don't worry, I'll come and-

I woke up from my dream in relief that it was only a dream. I know I still in have to find him, but it'll be a long ways off. I look at the clock, as it says 1 am. I lay back down and I start to fall back asleep as I hear a knock at the door. I quietly sit up and listen as my dad goes and answers.

"Yes sir?" My dad says sleepily.
"We would just like to inform you that your daughters scan is tomorrow night, 11 pm. I hope you'll both be ready."
"I'm sure we will be. Thanks Fred." Dad said with a laugh.
"My names not Fred." The officer left, nodding his head in disbelief of the name.

My scan. No, no, no. They can't know. They can't. If they find out I lose everything. Including my life. I won't be able to find him. I won't be able to fix this. Fix what happened. The world deserves to go back to how it was, before people started getting killed. I want to find others like me, and fix this.

I walk through crowds, not knowing where I'm going. The smell of fruity hand sanitizers and strong perfumes makes me sick a little. And that's all I smell. As I walk through, I see sight of a boy about 16 or 17. He has brown hair and dark eyes. He's tall, so he kinda stands out. I'm about to run after him when he starts zoning out of reality. I freeze, staring at him, wondering why when a spilt second later he was gone, and cuffs were at my hands.

"No, stop! I have to find him! I need to! Let go of-" I'm suddenly cut off when a needle is injected into my arm. I watch as the serum makes its way into my blood, just waiting to kill me off. I feel my eyes getting heavy, the smell of eveything just fading into thin air. The last thing I hear are the words from the boy saying, "No! I-"

I wake up again. This time my eyes are drenched in tears and my face bright red with blotches all over. I look at the clock again, this time it says 4:02 am. Well, I guess I'm staying up now. I go downstairs and see my dad on the phone. I wait at the corner, peering out at him.

"No, no......Honey.....I know, I don't want to lose her either....But she has to have that scan done.....even if she has that power, I'll love her either way.....I know.....Okay, I'll tell her.....yeah, good bye.....I love you."

"Tell me what dad?"
"That was your mother, she called saying that you have a letter soon, in a few hours actually." He looks sad. Ever since my parents spilt they've only loved each other as sibling like, but I think he feels more for her.
"Okay. Anything else before I go back upstairs?" I ask, hopefully with him telling me about the scan.
"Nope."
"Dad, I woke up at one am to an officer at our door about my scan. Don't lie. Please."
"Alright, yes they did tell us about it. I need to know now, do you or do you not have this power?"
"No. I don't." I lied to him. I never lied to him. My hearts beating so fast as a rush of adrenaline passes in me. I want to go and explore on my possible last day. I want to hear wedding bells again, hear the sound of music, smell the taste of garlic bread. I want to do everything and anything that people were able to 50 years ago. It saddens me.
"Alright. Just know, I'll love you either way." I nodded my head yes and went upstairs. I layed back down into bed and looked at the time. 4:45 am. I decide to go back to sleep. Then maybe the nightmares go away.
