Korea has many types of restaurants. Street vendors are everywhere. They're very good for late-night after-drinking snacks. They're also very good fir snacking while drinking. Yes, you can get alcohol from some street vendors.
Among Korea's indoor restaurant options there are a lot of the Western chains (and other chains imitating the Western chains). These are pretty much exactly as umyou see them in the West, though they usually have a few regional menu items (e.g the bulgogi burger)Korean fast-food places usually serve dishes like kimbap (rice, vegetables and some kind of meat rolled in seaweed) and noodles; these are good places to lunch, or to get a quick meal when you're eating alone.
Finally, there are large sit-down restauranta which usually have low tables and cushions for peaple to sit on the floor; they're designed witg long tables for groups in fact you usually must order at least two servings.
