As my squad moved into what we thought was an empty plaza we suddenly heard the sound of something scraping against the cement. all 6 squad members included myself quickly raised our weapons to be ready for whatever was making that sound.
There's only three ways something could come into the plaza and that was the passage way to our left which was only about twenty yards away and the passage way 30 yards in front of us and finally the passage way we just came from and this plaza was surrounded by cement walls so there would be no easy escape out of here if we were to be surround and the sound drew closer.
Now whatever was creating the sound was coming upon our positions so we got in defense positions and waited and that's when we saw who or what the noisemaker was and it came from the passage way in front of us and this thing welding a spear started approaching us not in a slow curious way but a in charging kind of matter.
"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT"?! shouted Mendez the squad's rifleman equipped with a grenade launcher "I don't know but whatever it is I'm not gonna stand here and wait for it to be upon us" stated the squad's sniper Tilley and that being said we all dispersed right as the thing threw its spear at us from 15 yards at us and penetrated the solid concrete ground. All six of started open firing on the thing, it let out one ear piercing shriek as our bullets ripped into it's body it reached it's spear and charged at Holt and Goodfellow the squad's medic and support gunner. it swung it's spear at both their heads but they both ducked in time to miss the spear. our demo expert Taylor threw a grenade covered in a sticky residue( so that we could stick our grenade can stick to anything its fairly new on the market) which caught the thing's head and blew that's sucker's head off and the rest of the body fell to the ground.
" That was one ugly mother...." "we got it Taylor" said Holt "but what is it"? asked Goodfellow. the thing was about 15 ft tall 50inches wide and it was fairly built and its head before it was blown up looked like it it a pieces missing and bleeding and the color was more dark and rotten and the smell was god awful and it's blood was really dark blood. "I've never seen anything like this" stated Holt, the squad was silent for a moment or two and we question what kind of assignment have we gotten ourselves into.
