When we finally arrived at what I guess you can call a landing strip we got off and carried our stuff off the plane with us. When we were all off the plane we surveyed our area and notice that our drop-off area was in a opening surrounded by trees so I pulled out a map we were given and started planning our route there and back the time we landed was at 2:00pmET zone and we started out on our path around 3:15pm.
Around 8:50pm it was pitched dark and we were only seeing what our flashlights shined ahead of us. Our destination was still hours away from us so we decided to make camp in the woods for the night. We took precautions and had a two man night man and two out of six of us took turns doing night watch so all of us had about a three an half hour of shut eye and we started back on our way towards this city. we stayed at a steady pace of a jog and we finally after about another seven hours arrived at our location. "Man what a ghost town" observed Mendez after we looked around at the section of city we entered. the buildings wasn't in bad conditions but they have seen better days a few buildings had some broken windows and so forth what you expected to see in any abandoned place. Now the place we had to get the Intel from was the research facility and that was of course on the other side of town.
